  • Radio control helicopter with special effects....? lol

  • Oh now that's just crazy. The guy as a death wish. He's a great pilot, sure. So was the hotshot who got that whole B-52 crew killed at Fairchild during an air show. If you fly like that a single gust of wind will put your main in the ground and probably kill you. You're just living on borrowed time at that altitude.

I respect low flyers in the military like the guys from the 160th. But even they don't do stuff like this. It's batshit crazy. Cool, but hard to respect.

  • Hats off to that man

  • This so awesome! I wish I could do that!

  • The helo is flying so low because the pilot's balls are weighing it down !!!

  • DOES ANYONE KNOW THE ARTIST AND TRACK OF THE BACKGROUND MUSIC? THANKS

  • I like...big...BUNTS and I can not lie...

  • Meh I can do that easily in BF2

  • @Zvesda

Yes because that is a game and doesnt have true to life physics.

  • It's impressive but he's flying around the same path.

  • Can you cut my grass while your out? haha

  • One mistake and pilot dead

  • Music, Badass........Pilot, even more badass!

Looking for pilot that can fly like this that is willing to teach. Will pay.... Cheers!

  • Music, Badass........Pilot, even more badass!

  • Awesome piloting skills on a great aircraft. The rigid rotor head gives the manoeuvrability but the trade off is comfort for passengers which is the norm for a military machine like this.

  • german chopper and pilote!!!!!!

  • shared on great flight videos fb and flight videos twitter page...do subscribe them for more videos

  • Stop talking about Chuck Norris in every youtube vid for god sake!!!

  • That's some crazy motherfucker!

  • dang that pilot's crazy good. or just crazy.

  • reminds me of that guy on 28 weeks latter who chops up the zombies,

nice flying though, pilots don't get enough credit for what they deserve.

  • It's like a lil' remote control helicopter.

    Awesome.

  • Thats some exceptional flying skills.

  • quite a big lawn mower if you ask me

  • now thats nap of the earth!

  • I hope this person isnt stupid to have a passenger.

  • Nice flying!!! :D the way I like it most!

  • This is a real chopper flown by an insane pilot. He was one of the best BO 105 pilots in history but he lived life on the edge... and this is how he died - doing what he liked best - watch?v=IiEfX3PDzTc

  • @dsanjit Thanks for the perspective.

  • It's radio controled :P

  • The Pilot in this Video is/was a Testpilot for the bo-105. insane skills.

  • alright, it is amazing.....but where the hell do you get 10 cameramen (or women) with the exact same resolution camera to take all the shots?

  • rumor says that cameracompanies usually build more than one camera. so, my guess is.... the bought a few of one kind.

but why do you think they need more than one camera???

aaaaand, in case this movie is older: maybe it might not be digital.....

  • lol maayyybe its a compilation not actually camera switching

  • this dude is good, especially the landing,!

  • that pilot should go in the dictionary for the definition of bad ass.

  • Best promo video every. I will buy two please.

  • wow is he trying to cut the grass or something? thats nuts lol

  • That music is fuckin pimp

  • thats amazing

  • Pilots do learn to fly like that. That's the purpose of the smaller helis. We were on a mission and one of the pilots came flying around the corner just as if he was out walking the dog... marvelous to see them handle the crafts like that...

Obviously harder to do with the heavier helis but doable if you fly slow.

  • Wow, I'd be willing to put money on the idea that the pilot flew helicopters in Vietnam.

  • Anyone know who the pilot is???

  • I would think you mean was? Any one who flies like that long enough will eat the big one.

  • Yeh! - He's probably "Bought The Farm" by now but I guess flying around like that he probably owned it in the first place - LOL

  • Comment removed

  • and again.. thanks to german technology..

  • He'd want more than $50 to put up with your smell! (; P) lol!

By the way, don't judge the age of the vid. by the music. The Germans are only just getting into that stuff! The pilot's probably wearing flares!

  • Are we? ^^

  • Ah, only joking mein Freund!

It's just that whenever I see a German TV clip, it's always years old!

  • I pay $50 for a ride like that..

  • kick ass

  • really lucky and/or really skilled... stupid non the less

  • both. O_O

  • The music sounds like a old 70's detective show..xD

  • nothing i cant do in Battle Field 2 but in real helo thats in sane !!!!

  • weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • if i was a chopper pilot... i would NEVER do that!!! thats just plain crazy!

  • is it me or is this a remote control helicopter...? : /

  • you can see the pilot at the end...

  • Ya, robinson helicopters published a couple great articles on mast bumping. Highly recommended for anyone flying a semirigid rotor system....

  • Oh thats awesome, would be a thrill. Looks like the Redbull stunt helicopter. Dont know if its the same type or not.

  • I'm pruty sure youre right, although if I remember correctly, the red bull chopper was using a 2 bladed rigid system specially designed to let it do back flips....

  • Just FYI, all BO-105's have a rigid rotor system, so there's not much special about the RedBull BO-105, just the pilot's a badass, haha.

  • Indeed. I realized what i said was kinda redundant after I posted it, however I do remember reading something where it said the red bull helicopter's rotor system was modified or something along those lines.

Still, the 105 is by far one of my favorite choppers, and i hope i can fly one someday. Until then, I will just have to live vicariously through an EC120....

  • Yeah, i mentioned it to an EMS pilot who flies BO 105's and he said that one is not modified, the BO 105 is made with the rigid rotor system. He said that the BO 105's he flies could do backflips, he is just not qualified to do it. But also, that doesnt mean that the RedBull helicopter isnt modified...idk haha...PS. nothing wrong with the EC120!

  • Hah. Ya, even if i was flying one, I would never attempt a backflip. I like living too much.....

And ya, the 120 is an amazing ship. A little on the underpowered side, but still amazing.

  • Its the german Bundeswehr!

  • insane asshole! if he had touched the ground at this speed, he would turn over right away!! showoff!

  • I'm really glad he survived and landed and can now view the vid himself on utube. Better not do this a second time.

  • You know who's a better pilot than this guy? Chuck Norris, he doesn't need to fly around the trees, the trees swing to a side in fear of his presence.

  • @btbking Do you see him did that before? No right? So shut the fuck up.

Bruce Lee can kiss his ass anytime.

  • it looks like a remote controlled helicopter.......the ones from walmart

  • Hey staunchmike!

Do you also have a bigger weiner than everyone else? I'd have to go with YES because you sound like a dick. LOL

  • yeah, but can he hover? lol

  • he made that look a little too easy

  • It's very awesome, but it looks pretty reckless tbh

Looks like how i fly on battlefield 2142 heh heh.

  • i want to have that pilots babies.

  • Better hurry. He'll lose his cock soon enough.

  • Holy Chopper.....that is good airhandling.....but this should be standard tactical chopper airhandling in military ops....low flying as this is done even in the dark.....but this chopper must have some G-packed gyrostabilizer stuff.....or what? It seems a little too neat flying to be an normal fitted chopper?

  • actually doing stuff like this at night in any helicopter, even with nightvision gear would pretty much be suicide. do you know what you are talking about? im an aircraft engineer. g-packed gyrostabilizer? lol

  • Yes I know what I am talking about. So we see here in this video a suicide attempt? I have served as a close attendant to the General Chief of Staff Royal Norwegian Air Force, so I know what maneuvers the heli pilots there is able to do, and what fittings the choppers have. But you are from turkmenistan arent you staunchymike? A little different i recon!! You might have pilots with skills, and equipment, sometime in the next 20-30 years. Dork!

  • oh oh ok an "attendant" to a chief of staff. in other words a paperpusher with zero practical knowledge and zero actual understanding of how the machines themselves work. have fun flying your desk around the office. on a side not actually i work for a company called HNZ, the biggest helicopter operators in the southern hemisphere. go fuck yourself.

  • are you talking about model helis?!

  • try terrain following radar.. and not a huge ammount of helis are fitted with that. this one certainly wasnt. and no TFR in the world would be able to do that in and around the trees.

  • Comment removed

  • because the bo 105 has a ridgid rotorsystem ;-)should be something about this on wikki...

  • Good old Bo 105 . Holy Hell !

  • I watch this video all the time. Its motivating as a new pilot but also shows the capabilities of what can be done. Not saying I'm gonna try it,but its awesome to see what can be done.

  • Remember : This man is the equivalent of Superman, whom many have tried to emulate by pulling on a red and blue suit and cape but have died when they jumped off buildings like Superman. This man is a legend in his own right.....sure , the 105 is the Maserati of helo's but in the end its the human beings unique abilities. Very very few 105 drivers can fly anywhere near like this. Freaking amazing ability, co-ordination and anticipation!!

  • Don't try those low G pushovers unless you are in a fully ridged rotorsystem, unless you like seeing your rotors flying off in all different directions :P

  • Anyone care to explain why this is? Only reason i can think is once the rotor is aerodynamically unloaded, the engine, already at a high power setting, wants to accelerate rotor speed. The rotor hub cannot take this and simply twists itself off the rotors. I'm just guessing here, someone care to fill me in?

  • The ridged Rotor system is a solid piece and the rotors themselves do the flapping, leading and lagging and feathering. With other systems such as a semi rigid teetering system, with a negative G manouver, the rotor hub can impact the mast, breaking it so your rotors go bye bye. Fully articulated can handle more, but still are not designed for the reverse load, and can't handle it as well as a ridgid system like the Bo 105

  • I don't quite understand how the rotor hub can contact the rotor shaft, aren't they in constant contact? thanks for the explanation btw.

  • They are connected yes, but the rotor head is underslung off a gimble type connection so it can tilt up and down for the flapping hinge. In normal flight conditions the head does not contact the mast, only when stopped or on shut down. Although when there is no load on the disc and it can flop in such a way to impact the mast with such force as to snap it off.

  • oh, that makes a lot more sense. thank man.

  • This is a clip that was shown in the 80s on German TV as a gap filler between shows. The man at the controls is Karl (Charly) Zimmermann. He used to fly for the German Air Force (Heeresfliegerregiment 16 in Celle). He won Helicopter aerobatic championships in 1978 and 1981 and placed 2nd in 1986.

Another German pilot who flies like Karl is Rainer Wilke. The Red Bull Bo 105 pilot learned from Wilke.

  • The BO-105 is equipped with a rigid rotor system.. Thats why there is no low-g mast bumping also makes the helio more responsive..

  • holy crap

  • looks to me like he doing a lot of cyclic pushovers why isnt he getting low-g mast bumping and breakin off the rotors and dying

  • omg

  • i serve in the US navy as a helicopter pilot and i fucking wish that this guy never is my enemy, fucking awesome flying skills, german pilots rock

  • it's fly like living animals !!!

    amazing

  • Maybe if you WERE a hotshot rotorhead you would have noticed that it is jammed footage of a RC helo...dolt!

  • um... no... it would be really obvious if it was a RC helocopter.. Proportionate size would be noticable next to trees and bushes. maybe if you WERE a hotshot observer you would have noticed this!!

  • ISNT it a rc one+?

  • blind? lmao

  • its a remote control helicopter how very sad

  • its not remote control you retard. You can clearly see the fuckin pilot and co-pilot at the end

  • Thanks querty - excellent clip, enjoyed it.

  • What the hell, I cant read your typeing

  • With weapns like this < how come this damn war is so long ?

  • i agree,and this looks lke 70's or 80's too

  • When you have opfor blending with civis then you have a problem. You can't just blow eevrything to shit you know.

  • That's one way to mow the lawn. I can't help imagining an impending boom strike over those trees. D:

  • he dont have family fucking crazy jajajajajaj im plane pilot too but you are a pro in your copter, nice fly man ....!!!! PD: sorry by my bad inglish. :P.

  • Well if I win the lottery next week i'll be buying me Bo-105 and a huge forest to play in! All heli pilots welcome lol!

  • Gotta give the Germans an A+ for the making of the Bolkow.

  • Looks more like a Eurocopter to me.

  • you have the observation skills of a bat.

  • insane

  • Awesome...does anyone have any footage of the New Zealand Deer recovery pilots working there Hughes 500s.....

  • I love the bo-105 its one of my favrote all time helicopters.

  • That looks like real fun!

  • flying low is the best

  • It's called nap of earth flying. Military pilots train for this. In war it keeps them alive on the modern battlefield.

  • Thats amazing flying flying at that alt, speed and with all the tress

  • Actually, just a clearup, this kind of flying was not uncommon in the army at the time of the cold war. Rather it was considered to be a needed skill in order to survive the batlefield. Going up would mean you where in the line of fire from fighters, sam missiles and all sort of other stuff. Keeping it low and fast would give less reaction times... Imagine this in a war zone...

  • flying like this was common practice in the days of the cold war era.I think you will find the pilot is german.

  • I cant belive some of these comments!!!RC control?!! not everything in life is a fucking toy or video game jeez!!

  • Idiot ! should have your Licence removed !

  • why? he's got no passengers and two engines

  • lmao, insane, awesome, brilliant, loony

All you "its a toy" people, get a life, there is some nutters out there, its just hard to really believe such crazyness sometimes :)

  • you have never seen a flying tiger its like one of the best helis thets piloted by a man inside the heli itself

  • My old man told me stories about guys in vietnam that flew like this. They said it was the only way to stay in the air. damn.

  • yeah righto dick, full scale remote? flown like that? WITH A WILLING OCCUPANT??? bullshit buddy bullshit, its real, nothing suggests otherwise

  • no this is not a toy there is a real pilot inside you can see it at 1.09 and at 1.35...

  • Holy shit, you idiots. Im an aircraft maintenance engineer that works for a helicopter maintenance and repair company, thata real goddam chopper..

My qualifications dont mean shit though.... know why???

COS THERES FOOTAGE OF THE PILOT AT THEN END!!!!

    hahahahahah, geddit?

these "its a toy" people are so retarded...

  • very cool indeed. how much would you be able to sell joy rides with him for? for something like that, I'd pay big!

  • its not radio controled!

  • If it was radio control and it was flying a xourse, how could the pilot see it?

  • its not radio controled!

  • Kind of like micromachines helicopter level

  • its not radio controled!

  • This is nothing,Iran is the only country in the world that have flying 15 meters up the ground to bombing Iraq and come back in one peace.

    Mission imposable.

  • German. Those Bo105's Rock out. This guy is mowing the grass with that thing...Nice Porno music in the back ground. It's a nice touch.

  • Looks russian, nuts excellent control.

  • I could do better. I just don't bother.

  • Are you even a pilot?!

  • No. I thought it would be obvious that I was joking. -3 thumbs tells me I was wrong.

"I just don't bother"... come on people...

  • that is a probe heli! try flying from the inside! insane showoff!

  • wow

  • Forget the pilot, what about the cameraman?!

  • woah ace

  • su puta madre, ese cabron esta loco pero tiene huevos

  • wow that pilot has balls of STEEL!
