I heard it for the first time just now and I really like it! I didn't even know that Survivor had another

singer besides Jimi Jameson.

This is the best Survivor album ever. Dave Bickler sounds amazing. And they embody the '80's sound here. Big fat riffs and chord changes. Killer choruses and amped up keyboards. This is perfect album rock.

BICKLER IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN JIMI. TWO TOTALLY DIFFERENT STYLES. BICKLER IS MORE SOULFUL WHILE JIMI IS MORE POP ORIENTED.  FOLLOWED THESE GUYS SINCE THE EARLY 80'S. LOVE THEM!!!!!!!

The only thing I think this song really lacks is a better sense of timing to really get that punchy feel to keep things moving well. Bickler's vocals also get a little sloppy in parts, but I generally like it overall. Thanks for posting it.

@Survivor567 Funny thing. I always thought this sounds like popular girl, but also Broken Promises. And BP and Popular girl have very similar guitar riffs. Having said that, these are some of my favorite songs by Survivor. If it works, use it!! ;)

Rebel Girl is a Survivor song that was recorded with Dave bickler on lead vocals. I think it was on their self titled album. Rebel Son was recorded with Jimi Jamison on lead vocals. 2 different songs, both very good. :-)

Awesome! I'm glad to finally listen to a clear version of this song, although I did enjoy seeing the band in the video. Survivor is a great 80s rock band that featured two amazingly, talented vocalists, and I've come to appreciate more and more of their music over the past few months that I've been listening to them.
