  • Fake it did not even open it's mouth

  • Aight for real we need to stop this ohh animals are so much happier in the wild bullshit because thats exactly what it is bullshit. As long as they have food, a place they consider their territory and maybe a mate they dont really care. you know damn well that in the wild this lil guy woulda died from getting eaten rather than nautral causes there is far more stress in trying to avoid enemies and whatnot and if you read the description it says he makes that sound only after the cockatoo screams

  • sounds like my schools fire alarm lol

  • silly lemur

  • lol wtf

  • KING JULIAN SPEEKS!!

  • Lemur, or football game air horn? You make the call!

  • I WANT ONE!!!!!!

  • @MegaShakinah you shouldn't ¬¬ they need to be free

  • @HadaMelusina I agree, but if you have a proper habitat and enough space for them, and if there happy liveing with you then i think its alright

  • saonds like my schools fire alarm

  • Sounds like an Air Horn

  • It kind sounds like a little dog trying to howl but he can't LOL

  • omg i need one they are so oddly mesmerizing

  • THIS VIDEO MADE ME A MAN

  • a lemur, and a husky would be my 2 dream pets.

  • haha...that's how my little cousin cries

  • Depends where u live.In Africa for example they sell their own mothers in pet stores.

  • Im glad these great animals arent allowed as pets.Otherwise every vanity idiot and silly kids woud want one.

  • @MrMethadrine They sell them at a pet store near me...

  • when I was in jail I did something like that

  • aww he sounds like a mini air horn

  • that's one fat lemur

  • @radguitar1 your mom is one fat lemur

  • Sounds like my god dang fire alarm!!!

  • thats cool

  • Don't get me wrong, I would love to have a Lemur as a pet. They are awesome. However, I think it would be better to just leave them where they belong, in the wilds of Madagascar. Some animals just shouldn't be domesticated.

  • hes calling out for his family

  • omg so cute. they're some kind of monkey-cat! <3

  • lol sounds like an air horn

  • I'm curious: Are you allowed to have a lemur as a pet where you are?

Here in America, the Third Reich would be after your tail.

  • @hjones1 They are legal in the United States, depending on what state you are in, and with proper permits.

  • @mozimomma just because its legal doesn't make it right! You should never even have one in the first place.

  • @hjones1 not true at all I own a capuchin monkey and I am in USA. Most every state allows you to own exotic pets, some with permits

  • sounds like one of those honking noises that comes in a can.

  • Well you have to admit that this Lemur is fat oO

  • The audio is AMAZING!!!!!

  • dont these fucking things bite you.

  • HAHAHAAHHA!! :D

  • there is probably a really good reason ppl adopt these animals. for Ex: they r orphans! or they r zoo animals. some zoo keepers r able to take the animal that they r assigned to home.

  • Cutee

  • whats he feeling when he does that ?

  • My lemur doesnt make those sounds , hes a boy and i was wondering why ?

  • @malicewondering wondering why he's a boy? it might help to read the posters comments - she says that he only does it when her cockatoo screeches. i'm gonna go out on a limb and guess thats not a coincidence.

  • I thought that they made "I like to move it!", LOL. Seriously it's nice to hear their "howl" and this guy is really cute! :)

  • Maybe he is trying to tell the neighbors to be quiet because he can hear them O.o

  • i'm sorry but that howl sounds sad, and the way his facing the wall ,lemurs are very social aniamls they need to be with other lemurs. i'm not saying u mis treat and i bet you really take care of him, but i would get another lemur friend for him/her

  • holy shit that sound is annoying, but lemurs are still cool.

  • Dude, lemurs have scary voices.

  • BEATIFUL!!!!

  • Punica44, this animal probably has the best life imaginable; never hungry, no disease, and no worries. Chill out

  • sounds like a fire alarm...

  • I'm wodnmerign if anyone here is thinkign about this poor things life...this is a wild animal....why are humans aggressively restricting the lives of any animal you can think of whether big or small.people think they are allowed to put every living n breathing thing into four walls and let it be their domestic animal! are cats & dogs or fishes not enoguh anymore why do you always need "new things to discover"this is cruel man. humanity should think about it.we cannot posses and rule everyth.

  • That's one of the saddest videos I've seen in a while. He should be with other Lemurs in a breeding group in the very least. Some animals really shouldn't be kept as pets and Lemurs are one of them. Many people have been trying to help Lemurs in the wild and save them from extinction, this is just a spit in the eye towards those people. Very sad.

  • @Linkacious1 Its in a humans nature to domesticate things, dogs just didnt magically become domesticatable this is just how it works its not like complaining at the owner now is gonna help anything

  • @XXXbrutalbrennaxX666 Its in humans nature to torture, rape and murder our fellow man but it doesn't make it right! And yeah, complaining to the owner is pointing out to them that what they are doing is wrong and cruel. Some people are happy to sit back and let shit like that fly. I'm not one of them.

  • @Linkacious1 Wrong and right is an opinion its wrong because we feel it is so, and its not entirely in our nature to murder and rape. Monkeys murder and rape each other, but are they evil? No one can say for sure. This owner isn't hurting the lemur, hell in the wild it may have already been dead by now. So, really, you're just saying man in general should never have a pet, after all doggy and kitty didnt just magically decide to become pets, we just kinda did it ourselves.

  • @XXXbrutalbrennaxX666 Monkey's murdering each other is down to instinct. They don't go by a moral code and accept something as right or wrong. Humans murder because they feel like it, even though they know its wrong. Domestication occurred when a particular species was benefiting from being around humans. And over hundreds and thousands of years. Lemurs are not domesticated, they are wild. And when captive are usually unhappy, as this video clearly shows!

  • @Linkacious1 yeah your right lemurs should at least have a friend it is wrong to keep lemurs as pets!

  • Lemurs are social creatures and they are not pets; it is sad to see this. This is a typical behaviour of a Lemur calling his group.

  • @joluropi Totally agree. I don't know why people need to keep EVERY animal in their house they like....

  • He is soooo cute!!!! :D

  • he is tooo overweight

  • thats a fat lemur hahahahah. i want one so badly haha

  • ZABOOMAFO!

  • D': I wanna lemur

  • teehee he looks fat

  • Breaks my heart to see this :(

  • air horn

  • poor lemur

  • poor lemur

  • Let him go please. He was trying to call out to another lemur.God bless him!

  • let him go just

  • Cool tail xD

  • Animals in the wild lead lives of compulsion and necessity within an unforgiving social hierarchy in an environment where the supply of fear is high and the supply of food low and where territory must constantly be defended and parasites forever endured. What is the meaning of freedom in such a context? - Life of Pi

  • @cerg09 Well said.

  • @mozimomma yeah, it ist cruel. I saw a lot in Africa and I can´t believe, that people keep they in a room.

    I hate to see that.

  • @cerg09 Your smart!

  • @cerg09 u exaggerate the wild state of animals, there is much altruism - THE SCIENCE OF GOOD AND EVIL outline this... its a balance, not always so guided by the hoarding principle and selfishness, this is more true of higher level animals, like us and a bit below... sharing is part of animal survival as well, they survive better as a group, instead of one having more than enough while the rest starve and then the one is left alone, scary indeed... there are many examples like this...

  • @cerg09 That is true and a rather sentimental quote but not applicable to all animals . Animals can be content in certain''enclousres'' lemurs have a high arch

  • This is animal cruelty. This lemur needs trees and friends.

  • @flywithandrew You're an idiot.

  • he's so sad. :(

  • king julian

  • Aww.. :P

  • We never evolved from monkeys. We evolved from a common ancestor but not any kind of monkey. If anything, monkeys evolved from us.

  • @jwaddington2 LOL! Looking at some kids today I'd almost believe that!!

  • @jwaddington2 That's half true, we did not evolve from an orangutan or a gorrila, but a sub-species called the cro-magnon man. Before CMM, we had bipedal, monkey-like things which I can't name. Before then was yet a deeper sub-species of primates, but not monkeys. However, we could easily be called monkeys at a glance; we looked like Capuchins!

  • That is what our ancestors once looked like and sound like. The human voice evolves from that.

  • This is one of my favorite videos! I love Lemurs! Please make more! He's so cute!

  • Read the description please, before you comment, and maybe watch another of my vids; he is never leashed and has complete freedom both inside and out.

  • Sounds so human, even more human then Chimpanzees.

  • @mozimomma Hey I"m 14 years old going onto 15 and I"m thinking about getting a zoo keeping job and I just wanted to know how old do you have to be to get a license to have a wild pet like a lemur or.....tiger and what not and another question is what do you have to do to get a license for having a wild pet (not really wild wild just a pet that came from the wild) please when you get this message I need you to respond I

  • Second that. This lemur is slowly going mad.

  • I could not agree more. This is NOT funny!!!!!!! The person who OWNS this poor lemur, is very very selfish.

  • @mercedeslynnwilliams All I heard was "Baw baw baw, I'm a jealous, self-righteous tit trying to be angry at somebody because they have something I don't by making it out to be animal cruelty." Next thing you know, a dog will look "neglected" and "abused" at all times because their eyes are deeper than a sheet of construction paper.

  • @mercedeslynnwilliams watch the other videos of it. its outside

  • @mercedeslynnwilliams Its been proven animals raised properly in human care usually live longer than in the wild

  • Is it legal to own a lemur in Texas? I have a really nice sheltie mix and want to get a lemur to hopefully be its friend.

  • I was wondering if you could possibly tell me where you went to get it, I've been wanting one for a REALLY long time. I haven't been very successful with finding a breeder.....PLEASE hit me back when you have the time. I want to get one for my wife as an aniversery gift

  • First, are you sure they are legal in your state?

  • @madnips77 dude their like $16,000 or around their. my aunt has one

  • @1171skater Most I've ever seen them available for was $5000.

  • @madnips77 Why don't you paint yourself like a Lemur and wrap yourself as a present instead of wasting your time looking for an wild animal to fuck his life up? Think ahead before you do such a thing just for the "cuteness" of a WILD ANIMAL.

  • that lemur is obease

jesus hes a wild animal, give him exercise

  • Lovely!!<3 Amo i lemuri,sopratutto il catta che è bellissimo e dolcissimo!!!<3

  • Cool what does he/she eat?

  • That's one fat lemur

  • 0:14 the hand on this lemur, especially the fingers & tips, looks just like the hand of Ida...

    Missing link my eye.

  • If you put it in the wild after being domesticated it will die. How many times do you people need to be told this?

  • it just stops when it see's u.

    must be embarressed

    NABBED

  • on the one hand, i love the scream because i'ts very much like like the artist known as Prince.

however, this poor lemur seems to me to be crying out for a friend and he's crying for a tree. he's too fat. sad.

  • I Might Get A Lemur

  • He's so cuuuuute! I agree that wild animals need to STAY in the wild, but sometimes, they just can't survive on their own. Wild or domestic.

....And he's such a fatty!!!!! O3O It's so cute!! And judging by the fact that you call it a 'he', it can't be fat cause it's pregnant. HE'S JUST A CUTE, ADORABLE LITTLE FATTY!!!! ^3^

  • And yeah, I totally screwed up my first comment >_>; Hit post WAAAAY too soon

  • looks sad, this little one. I feel sorry about such exotic animals taken from their homes. its different when you have cat at home..but this..err..is something else

  • He wasn't taken from anywhere, this IS his home and all he knows; he was born in captivity and even given the choice, prefers blankets and beds to trees etc.

  • Nice! Do you live in the US? Since they're endangered, you must need some kind of permit or something to own him? Just curious, I wish I could have one so bad. ):

  • It depends on the state.

  • was it alot of work getting all the paper work and injections and also the research.

  • No on the paperwork, and the research is always ongoing. ;)

  • Lemur deja de gritar en tu cuarto y mejor estudia ingles!!!! Che Carmelito!!!

  • It sounds like a horn. o.o

  • I really want to have one of this...

  • he looks sad... looks like he's calling his mates with that howl... but no one comes. just a human being with a camera

  • leave him outside you freakin retard

  • Judging from the previous comments this animal was born in captivity. Leaving it outside would be killing it.

  • Put the animal back. Teh is a group call. What are you doing with it?

  • It was never in the wild he was born from parent who also never were wild.

  • Okay. But he should be in a forest area. Thats were they belong. Dont domesticate Lemurs as pets. Why do this? I'm not a big fan of this. We could do so much better by taking care of the environment they live in instead of putting them in captivity.

What about meeting other lemurs and mating?

  • We can not do anything for wild ones because we do not live there & can not control the people living there. Some purchasing choices may only help slightly. But you choose not to purchase certain products so they don't cut down the forest they will still cut down the forest for farms to feed themselves instead of growing crops to export for survival. I do not see how dead or extinct is supposed to be better than happy and healthy in captivity. long as people have them they will never be extinct

  • Well, I'm sure you know how to take care of these creatures. I don't know much about them. But I worry at times. Even zoos dont come close to the space needed for some kinds of animals. Yet we have an ever expanding urban landscape and migration.

  • Hamsters have not been kept longer than many other exotics(only about 70yrs). A wild hamster may cover 8 miles between food sources and its burrow. Are pet hamsters given enough room? A wild animal roams miles because it has to not for fun. Hamsters get exercise with a wheel. Tigers are happy laying about like other cats with a bit of play here and there. Lemurs bounce off your walls when young then settle down a lot. A parrot cage would be to small but they do not need miles.

  • a wild may cover 8 miles between food sources and its burrow, they have only been kept about 70yrs not even as long as many other exotics. Do they get enough space as pets? wild animals travel miles due to need not because of fun. If they get their needs met and enough exercise space does not mean much. Of course a parrot cage would be to small but a whole house and time outside seems plenty for a little lemur to be happy, as he is.

  • oops a wild "hamster" may cover...

  • Lemurs are no pets that you can take home!. They belong to the woods and nowhere else! It is animal abuse to take them out of their natural habitat.

    Lemurs are no pets!

  • If that is true then the same is true for parrots and hamsters. Have you gone around complaining at the parrot owners too?

  • Have you checked your laws to even know if it is legal where you are?

  • Lil bastard lemur

  • sounds like a blow horn, lol

  • that is a fat lemur. what does it eat?

  • The call is a lost or contact call. Seems like the bird is triggering the call which would be to a group. I'm afraid I have to agree that from the videos he looks overweight, compared to the ones I work with. A standard diet would be 9 pieces of monkey chow and 3/4 cup fruit/veggie but I would reduce this guy to 6 pieces chow and 1/4 cup fruit/veggie. Watch the grapes and starches. They are prone to dental issues. Good luck!

  • I've always assumed this was a contact call and the only thing that triggers this is the cockatoo scream. I do realize he was overweight and over the past two years (and with gradual changes) he has lost 2 lbs and is eating better and healthier. I am aware of the dental issues and he is now eating more browse and veggies than fruit. He is just over 8 years old and has been with me since he was weaned. A recent blood panel showed everything normal. Thank-you for your educated comment.

  • faut quil arrête lejoint celui-là

  • thats a fat lemur

  • he's fat

  • that was 4

    ziouxpioux

  • Your dream to see lemurs only in zoo and private homes will note come very soon! there is still a lot of forest and where there is forest, there is lemur in madagascar, and the malagasy population do not kill lemurs to eat them, some of them are sacred! YOU participate in the disparition of the lemurs of madagascar with giving support to the traffic for bringing them out of Mada! dumbass!

  • Lemurs are not imported anymore as they are CITES listed. This fella was born in Canada somewhere.

  • This lemur is not happy with you, even if you give him chocolate or something like that, they like to eat cactus! do you have cactus?

If this lemur can talk, he would ask you to bring him back in the south of MADAGASCAR!!!!

  • One more time! THIS lemur would die in Madagascar. He is well adjusted, and happy, with no neurotic tendencies. And yes, I do in fact have cactus.

  • I saw the same special on Animal Planet you saw voatabia. Obviously you were not paying attention. They do not like to eat cactus. They eat what is available and will pick more lush vegitation if available. geesh. Do you not see the two different troops fighting over territory because the lesser troop wanted to go eat where the GOOD food was? geesh!!!

  • oooh, mister saw a report, never touched or seen a real lemur and already a specialist! let me laugh! I a was born in Tulear, south of Madagascar, and i lived near lemurs until i had my degree and get to university! I dont know wtfk Animal planet is! it dont exist in france!

  • so! when i gave them exotic fruits, leafs, and the fruit of a cactus, they still prefear cactus. this is natural because this region of madagascar was always been very populated of cactus, and i can say that the fruit of a cactus is delicious!

  • they eat other things but they like especially fruits of cactus like you like to eat caviar! do you think they dont have brain and dont know which plant they prefear to eat? geesh! there is hundreds and hundred kind of vegetation in a forest, and animals have their preference, they dont just eat what is available, and where there is trees, there is
