I was in Hong Kong for the closing ceremony and on the Chinese TV channel they had subtitled the words to Whole Lotta Love while they were playing it. Although Leona didn't actually sing these words, the subtitles stayed faithful to the original: "I'm gonna give you every inch of my love" etc. Clearly the Chinese had no understanding of what Robert was singing about

If you didn't know who he was, then you must have been living under a rock somewhere. Leona does have a lovely voice and huge talent. However, her acknowledgment of what an honor it is to perform with Page would have been nice. Believe me, PAGE is legendary.

I actually really enjoyed the performance. Jimmy was great. There were parts of the song where Jimmy wasn't playing I know. But the solo was his and the rest of the song after that.
Leona has a GREAT voice. She done awesome. Obviously the whole thing wasn't exactly on a par with the budget of the Chinese, but what the hell do you expect? Just wait till London 2012...

I appreciate that they just wanted popular people to perform but leona lewis is actually not well known around the world so most people would have watched that performance thinking "who is this girl that's trying to sing along and keep up with the driving force that is Jimmy page??" ALSO, if she is what people believe represents Britain then that's disgraceful...Jimmy Page yes because he is a British legend, but some daft girl who's only been around for a handful of years?*shakes head in shame*

she's very well known in the US and a number of European countries. and she just recently broke into the Asian market. yeah, her songs do get overplayed but i don't see what's so bad about her representing London. well, it may be that i'm American.

She looked Beautiful in the olympics, but she was ok. Her voice and rock songs don't match, therefore I thought she sounded ok. She's good singing her own music style. I still love her though.

I was in Hong Kong for the closing ceremony and on the Chinese TV channel they had subtitled the words to Whole Lotta Love while they were playing it. Although Leona didn't actually sing these words, the subtitles stayed faithful to the original: "I'm gonna give you every inch of my love" etc. Clearly the Chinese had no understanding of what Robert was singing about

Leona was spectacular from what I can hear of her singing. And Page, he still steals my heart, every time!! I wonder if these two might collaborate for anything else down the road. It was interesting.

jimmy page is a LEGEND and thats it, i do find it unfair for people to say leona didnt deserve to be on the same stage because she is a star in her own right and is constantly growing, although probz not the best choice of song, and the sound wasnt that great nobody can deny she is a great singer, i say congrats to the legend that is page and to the graceful start ms lewis.

If you didn't know who he was, then you must have been living under a rock somewhere. Leona does have a lovely voice and huge talent. However, her acknowledgment of what an honor it is to perform with Page would have been nice. Believe me, PAGE is legendary.

I actually really enjoyed the performance. Jimmy was great. There were parts of the song where Jimmy wasn't playing I know. But the solo was his and the rest of the song after that.
Leona has a GREAT voice. She done awesome. Obviously the whole thing wasn't exactly on a par with the budget of the Chinese, but what the hell do you expect? Just wait till London 2012...
