@MrSwag48 Swag. It works man. U can get as heavy a block as u want. And then get some chain and throw that thru the block then try to over head press and carry it. Talk about needing control. Try it for your self man.
There's a few more vids like this in on the channel and of course over at USAJG.com. The book comes out friday.
@SoundsByJ duuuuude. nothing held those blocks on but the Force. balance? it would be cool to put notches or somethingon the ends. but we never did and still dont. One could use those metal pipe clamps you get at the hardware store. theyd work.
I just bought some today at Medards for $1.29 a piece they weight 50lbs a block. Most of them I saw were 42lbs (seemed to be the common weight) The basic 42lb-ers were 85 cents. I got a 6ft galvanized pipe for $6.98 and four cinder blocks at $1.29 a piece. Four 200lbs of legit weight lifting plates your looking at around $200. Save money and get ripped!!! Thanks USAJungleGym!
Oh, I also duct taped the blocks so I didn't get the cinder block crumbs and dust all over my apt.
@bizofdoingbiz theses particular blocks were old and they were heavy. My guess... prob around a solid 50lbs. We have sinced picked up some more and the ones made now a days a lot lighter...They make for awesome workouts!
@USAJungleGym I've read that using them as free weights builds mad grip strength too, since it is an odd shape to hold on to. I bought 2 the other day for $1.24 ea. They're around 30 lbs. Just a little less.
does this really work? like in building muscle
