I am inclined to believe the Kabbalist notion that Adam was not the first man, but rather the first man to "discover" YHWH. (The quotes are important there, as clearly YHWH was already very away of Adam.) This happened roughly 6000 years ago, according to Rav Laitman.
So, my question is -- if this is true -- clearly Adam did not have scriptures. The relation with YHWH came first, scriptures later. Scriptures can be used to deceive man, a true relation with YHWH is better, don't you think?
I believe that in the Scriptures YHWH says what He means and means what He says. In Scriptures we are told not to add or subtract from them.
