How can you make yourself forgive? I have ALOT of anger, bitterness, and unforgiveness in my life to several people including myself. I can't seem to let it go know matter how hard I try.

A number of Bible verses have greatly helped me: Genesis 50:20 and Romans 8:28. Joseph was greatly hurt by his brothers, but God worked everything out for good. And it reminds me that despite what others have done against me God can work it all out for my good. It helps me to see my offenders as God's agents for my benefit.
@2many2remember1 Other verses that have helped me are Ephesians 6:12 which reminds me our ultimate enemy is the devil and his angels, not the people. Also, Matthew 5:44 because as we commit ourselves to praying for and blessing those who have offended us our heart towards them will start to change. I'm not saying it will be easy, but I believe it's important to do so in order to be free from anger and walk in forgiveness.

If it is true, then where are you headed? God is a God of love and justice. If you turn from your sin and accept Jesus, and die, you will be welcomed into heaven, and remain in God's love forever, and you will never sin again.
If you don't turn from your sin and accept Jesus, and you die, true justice will be dealt.
Smokeskull, If someone will not forgive another, will God forgive them? Is hell an unjust punishment for unforgiveness, or is unforgiveness, serious enough to warrent hell?

@smokeskull From a human perspective, yes.But you first need to know God to understand His commandments.And it ain't on youtube that we can do that."Anyone who says I love God but hates someone is a liar because God is love."When you hate someone, you're a murderer in your heart.The wages of sin is death.God reps life.He's perfect and just.He has to punish sin.But since we're not perfect,we need Jesus who died for all our sins and ask for forgiveness.He forgave us, we must forgive too.

@smokeskull Congratulations :D I made my mind up that I'm going to forgive everybody no matter what. I'ma work on it so that when offense come, forgiveness comes out automatically. And if it seems hard to, I think about how Jesus died for me and then realize that I didn't have to die that way to forgive someone. What people do against us is nothing compared to what we did against God.

congrats. its encouraging to hear others actively forgiving before things get really bad. it seems our culture doesn't value forgiveness. it seems like pride is the norm to the point of being an accepted way of living. i've come to know forgiveness was never intended for the other party, it was created for the forgiver. forgiveness seems to be the most loving and empowering "selfish" act one can do. thanks for your post.

Jesus is the lamb of god so therefore god sent Jesus the lamb of god to be sacrificed for our sins and Jesus is the son of god in the old testament people sacrificed animals but god sent Jesus to die for our sins and put us into a new covenant god bless the judgement draws near!

Your wrong. God hates human sacrifice. Read the torah it's in there somewhere about Molech. If God detests human sacrifice why would He sacrifice a person, a human to "die" for you?-Haven't you read your bible? How many times did the ancients; Abraham, Moses, Isaiah and so on, ask for God's forgiveness and He forgave them. Why do you believe God can't forgive you unless you say in the name of Jesus?-That's blasphemous. Even Jesus taught forgiveness from God just by asking Him. Read Lk. 18:9-14
