  • @rhalse a thousand miles my vanessa cartlon

  • whats that song in the begining called

  • wow, I thought I likes Mandy Moore, but this is awful! O.o What happened!

  • its funny cuz in Rapunzel, her sidekick's Pascal

  • No offense, but Adam was good, but off key and didn't hit all of the notes/did them differentely and mandy was too pitchy and it sounded like they mashed her voice up with ellen greene.

  • yeah Mandy was kinda airy

  • I am pretty much in love with Adam Pascal after this. I LOVE Little Shop :)

  • Adam is awesome! I love his voice! Mandy just doesn't sing this song well

  • I love Adam! :) What a cutie.

  • carrie underwood was much better than this, I love adam tho! (except how he say's "Suddenly Seymour) Carrie and Adam would be such a good duet.

  • Adam Pascal is amazing! I love him!

  • I love this song! I sing this song on my Emilydogcat channel :)

  • wtf....omg she sounds really bad.... shes def struggling to get those notes..

  • =( she was soooo nervous.... She can usually belt pretty well, but she didn't even come close to the parts that were soooo powerful in the song.

  • she was SO nervous

    she has no singing voice

    she's just tuned

  • That guy can sing but aint nerdy enough to be seymour

  • Oh my god.... Mandy Moore blew this...

  • I think this is horrible, especially for pros. Yeah they both don't fit the roles, but its so pitchy. I wonder

    A. if they warmed up

    B. If they practiced together much

  • i think her singing is bad...

  • She is singing this like she is a 1st. class lady....that song was created for the part of a girl that has had a rough life in the bronks....this is not her part for sure..

  • needs to suport her notes it was way too breathy!

  • i love mandy moore but this wasnt her best. i like the movie version better. the power in the song is what makes it good. i dont like this softer version.

  • mandy more is awsome but NOT for broadway

  • this is awful. Adam Pascal has a good voice, but definitely does not understand that he's supposed to be nerdy, like Seymour. Its too "Roger". Mandy Moore---WOW. Hilariously overdramatic and pitchy. Its a good thing she crossed over into film because this was one of the weekest performances I've ever seen from an actual pop star. Airy, weak, and a great deal of tuning issues. YIKES.

  • I actually think she was losing her voice. Your right it wasnt her best. I dont think she could do anything about losing it.

  • adam : AMAZING

mandy : not so great she crack a couple times.... :[

  • HOW COME SHEE GETS TO SING WITH HIM ID DIIEE TO SING WITH HIM!!!!!!!!!! (luky bitch!) lol : D

  • omg, mandy, you are hot, cute, sexy, great, talented, beautiful ... *aargh* ... I NEED MORE ADJECTIVES!! ^^

  • I didn't care for this at all. Yes the voices were good, but i did not like new upbeat tempo, it took the Broadway out of the song.

I have worked in theater(lighting director) for 12 years so I am talking from experience.

  • Oh Mandy Mandy Mandy. I am not even sure what was that between 1:59 and 2:01. I love that towards the end (when she's supposed to belt) she signals she can't hear herself, like the mic is the problem. LOL

  • its funny all u guys r talkin crap but have any of u guys been on broadway? damn probably not geez that sucks!

  • well if you're getting paid to do something then you should do it well.

  • Adam is pissing me of.

The two are just not fitting.

  • Adam is wrong for the part, seymor is nerdy and shy and Adam looks too rockerish.

  • Mandy didn't camp it up, but then again, it's a concert and not within the context of a staged musical. Adam's part, likewise, not delivered in a Seymour-nerdy voice, but a beautiful voice nevertheless. CERTAINLY nothing like any high school performance. There's NO comparison. These two are pros.

  • Wow she sucks!! She is no Ellen Greene buy far!

  • sucks

  • Mandy is not amazing but other than that, wow i love it. Adam is excellent

  • lol that shirt!!

  • To all the haters: I agree, not her best performance. But put it into perspective. She was 17 at the time.

  • Probably the worst Seymour ive ever seen, half the high school shows ive seen had better seymour's than this

  • adam pascal makes a really crappy seymore.. the only thing he can really play is a rocker and he does it well.. but lets face it seymores supposed to be nerdy. mandy... belt!!! its what the song is for!!

  • this sucks i like this song originally.

  • sing up mandy and she is off key

  • I.LOVE.ADAM.PASCAL!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I adore Adam Pascal... but that shirt is a hot mess.

  • My son criticizes me for singing "breathy"...perhaps I could sing instead of Mandy. She needs more projection. Adam is amazing as always!

  • LOVE ADAM PASCAL!

  • the great ADAM PASCAL messed up near the end when seymour repeats what audrey says, he said 'showed me you can'...well i guess this is proof that everyone messes up/no one is perfect

  • she cant sing that song you have to a strong voice thats bold if you know !!

  • hey Mandy get a little more breathy!!! that would make you sounde 100% better!

    Note the sarcasm.

  • I guess for a concert performance, it is okay. You can easily tell that each singer is used to a different form of performance (i.e. musicals compared to pop singing). I cringed at the movements Mandy was making which neither worked with the song, nor attributed to her singing quality. Also, learning the words is a big plus. It looked like Adam was carrying her, but then again, it is his field.

  • chill out guys, its not that bad. i quite like it

  • Love Mandy, she is a little off,but she was a teen here, her voice was still maturing, love Adam too.

  • i actually like it. you guys are all hating heavy.

  • I'm very disappointed here not really by mandy moore because well, I knew she couldn't sing anyway. But come on Adam you are way better than this performance.

  • God this is horrible!

  • HORRIBLE! Ellen Greene puts her to shame. Maybe because, Ellen OWNS the part. :] She created it, and no one will ever compare.

  • This is a good rendition :)

  • I'm actually really dissapointed in this performance...

Adam Pascal isn't hitting the low notes and Mandy Moore isn't using her belt--which she's so good at.

    This makes me quite sad

  • Oh my dear lord what have these people done to my favourite musical of all time...... i loved him when i saw him in rent, but i don't think i'll ever be able to look at him the same again...

  • something sounds strange in her voice...

I've never heard it do that before...

Its still pretty, but whats going on?!

  • I'm not convinced that Adam Pascal can play the "geek." He's a little too confident. Mandy Moore . . . she has the right voice type for Audrey, but this song is just slightly too high for her. And I don't think she was as complicated as Audrey should be . . . but I'm being picky. I liked this duet. And I liked that they didn't completely change it to suit their voices more.

  • I was alright with Mandy Moore, but I agree COMPLETELY that Adam Pascal is wrong for the role. He sang good, but he's not nerdy enough.

  • I recognise her, but not sure where from?

Gosh. Anyone help me out? :) x

  • what happened to the characters?! D: the emotions?!

  • mandy doesnt have any of the technique to sing this song. ahh.

  • mandy...ew. just ew. adam is good just NOT for this song.

  • F** all haters I completely love this video

  • Adam singing Seymour? Wow, I can't really put those two together =/

  • haha the second half it looks like thier both trying to eat their mics...

  • You haters are just jealous, they are only human, not perfect.

props to them both for doin their thing.....

  • omg, that was terrible. 'Adam Pascal' was trying to steal the attention, which is meant to be focused on 'mandy'. And she didnt even try to get close to any of Ellen Greenes techniques of singing. I thought that was UTTER CRAP

  • This song does not showcase Audrey (That's somewhere thats green). Adam taking over is the nature of the song. Ellen Greene (not GreeneS) had the voice of a 4 year old... technique isnt everything! I will say however that this song is pushing Mandy's vocal range.

  • Mandy Moore did a great job, but Adam Pascal looked like he was performing a pop song and made no attempt to be "in character." Sure when you are peforming a song like this you may not be expected to fully take on the character, but the appropriate emotions and facial expressions are a must! You could tell Moore put her heart and soul into it and dug from her heart... Adam did not.

  • bleeehhhh this is awful. adam pascal ruined rent.

  • Her voice was too sweet

  • so not mandys best.

    i was kinda expecting more.

    but yay for adam =]

  • omg mandy moore this is poor!

    out of tune dudes :S

  • NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDS

  • NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, BAD, BAD, BAD!!!! I hope those people never actually paid money to hear that. A perfect example of how to ruin a great song! BAD!!

  • what a brilliantly miscast song! Mandy is a doll and will never have the right voice for this and Adam is way too strong and sexy to be singing Seymour! How awful...such a great song ;/

  • um no. i like them both but not here. the girl who sings this has to have a belty chest voice and that doesn't work. are the pitch problems heard with mandy the feedback of the video... or her mistakes???

  • Mandy's voice is too weak for the song!!!

  • to the person who wondered what Anthony Rapp would sound like, he played Seymour on broadway.

  • seriously?

  • I usually dont trash stuff, but I really didnt like it. They're both good singers in their own fields. Adam's singing was good, strong, but completely lacked character. It was good singing, but I didnt believe he was Seymour. Mandy I would say the same, but really, her main problem was she couldn't belt it out. Ya need a stroooong voice.

  • i like the movie better

  • Adam sounds great. Mandy's voice, on the other hand, is too weak to pull this song off.

  • I love this song. They both did a good job. I love Adam and Little Shop of Horrors. I wonder what Anthony Rapp would sound like singing this.

  • what are his pants?? They look like they're from the girls juniors section. yipes!

  • they kill the song *raises eyebrow*

  • Thank you for this... excellent Vid.

  • Love it!

  • I love them both! And I know they can both act very very well. But I was disappointed with this performance. They were totally out of character, as good as the vocals were. I wish they could've portrayed Seymour and Audrey cause they sang this as if it were for a karaoke contest or something (NOT an insult) just not the appropriate way to sing it I guess. =(.

  • no. just no. this song isnt a pop song, and its not meant to be sung in ones head voice...and pitch errors! are u kidding me!ive heard highschools do this better...

  • i thought mandy moore was good, but theatre has proven me wrong. thank you, theatre gods. hahaha.

  • now thats the way to do suddenly seymour!!!

  • she didnt hit any of the high notes but he was awesome

  • i LOVE hiim what tv show's this from?

i usually likemandy.... but not here

  • wow....that was painful. i think he was actually laughing at her. and why did her hair look like she came from the gym?

  • Normally I LOVE mandy moore and I absolutely Love this song. When Adam sang it was perfect and then mandy opened her mouth. Too weak...

  • since when is this a pop song? oh, it isn't! and it shouldn't be sung like one!

  • Amen to that, I agree 100% But Adam pascal is still the cutest actor ever!

  • where is this?

  • afioasf
