So when it all started to backfire, I said, "Whoa! Sonething is wrong here." In other words, I was really looking for solution, instead of being in love with my criticism, and ultimately with myself. So the more it backfired, the more I realized that it just doesn't work and cannot work. A bit later I realized that it was not the "cycle of violence" at all, but the cycle of shadow that was running the whole thing - a very different animal that requires exact opposite solution.
