When Fr Rookey was invited to Melbourne's by the Catholic community I went along I was late and it was sold out , A man who was leaving handed me his pass and smiled he had to leave early. I was in a seat farthest away from where Father Rookey was praying to the Holy Spirit when I felt the power enter me and to my surprise I heard him say the Lord was healing someone up there and he pointed in my direction .It was an amazing experience,I did not claim it I was too shy ..It was lovely.

When you die, these electrical impulses stop firing and these chemicals stop getting synthesized / released, hence you are no longer conscious, and will stay that way forever. When Fr Rookey was invited to Melbourne's by the Catholic community I went along I was late and it was sold out , A man who was leaving handed me his pass and smiled he had to leave early. I was in a seat farthest away from where Father Rookey was praying to the Holy Spirit when I felt the power enter me and to my surprise I heard him say the Lord was healing someone up there and he pointed in my direction .It was an amazing experience,I did not claim it I was too shy ..It was lovely.

I personally am not catholic so I am not sure about the Mary Part of this prayer! But back in 2009 I used to say this prayer every time I woke up or before I went to work and just before I went to bed! I abandoned my faith at the end of the year I had stopped praying this prayer because I thought it was Satanic! @MrJohnikken Consciousness consists of nothing but electrical impulses and chemical releases in your brain. When you die, these electrical impulses stop firing and these chemicals stop getting synthesized / released, hence you are no longer conscious, and will stay that way forever. It's like a computer without a source of electricity; it can't perform processes any longer. Only difference is that you can plug a computer back in, somewhat like resuscitation.

Dear reader: It is written in 1 Timothy 2:5 "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus". Can't be more plain than that. You cannot pray to Mary, Joseph or any other living or dead person, period! If you do, you disobey the word of God and attract His wrath. Ask Jesus for forgiveness, then find a Church that teaches the truth. These are not my words and no one is allowed to twist the Bible to fit his/her own belief system. I say this in love: get saved!

God is God of the living, Jesus said so himself when He spoke about Abrahamm Isaac and Jacob. I am sure you ask your Pastors and fellow christians to help pray for you and with you. Mary and saints are very much alive spiritually and their intercessions have proved over time to be very efficacious

Glad you do! Not popular indeed; people here are responding like 8 year-olds. To be honest, I like the first part, which is a true prayer of repentance to our Lord. But it turns sour halfway, when the priest starts to seek the "intercession" of several saints, despite the direct admonition of 1 Tim. 2:5 against it. This is where I strongly denounce the false teachings of seeking help from what the Word calls the "dead", which brings a host of curses on people. Pls pray for them! GBU!

In Acts at Pentecost the disciples and Mary were in the room, praying with one heart and with mind and with one voice. The prayer of Our Lord in regard to may they be one as We are One can be understood by this reflection. However we are also called to go into a room by ourselves to pray unseen.
