  • Have the same set. Outside of the blacks being a little underwhelming (messing with backlight settings fixes this under most conditions), the picture quality is exceptional. There is absolutely no ghosting to be found with this set, and the color and clarity are exactly what you would hope for. Planning on upgrading to one of the newer models. The newer, led based set can now be found for pretty cheap, and the blacks are largely improved.

  • Vizio is actually a very reputable company that competes with Samsung and Sony in quality and is much cheaper. If you wanna go out and blow a couple hundred extra so you can say you have a Samsung then go for it. That is your money wasted.

  • so jely watching on my 60hz screen lol

  • Getting a 60Hz monitor yay -.-

  • Vizio is cheap because there cheap

  • Holy shit man. Nice TV. I'm getting my later this week. Can't wait. And by the way. Great choice of music at the end. Lil John and Eastside Boyz feat. Ice Cube. Roll Call. One of my favorite songs. But that's a AWESOME TV.

  • WTF is vizio?? oh yeah its for people that can't afford a REAL HDTV (Sony and Samsung)

  • @TheGarvito Says the arrogant/ignorant troll who honestly believes that price = quality.

  • @SlapHappyJesus what ever helps you sleep at night.

  • @TheGarvito Let's try this. Explain just what makes those brands you listed better. Prove to me that Vizio is a shit company? Vizio is actually located in the U.S. Despite this, they keep pricing lower, and still deliver top-quality when it comes to their sets. Their t.v's have the fastest response time on the market, and they're the fastest growing t.v company. That's the thing about youtube idiots. They talk a lot of shit, but usually can't back anything they say. Prove yourself different.

  • @SlapHappyJesus your the dumbest invester.companies like Sony INNOVATE, there are the ones that made LCD, LED, OLED and CRYSTAL displays, they perfect at it they put top notch engineers to work, they create quality design and of course deliver.companies like Sony bring the future to us.in other hand cheap companies like Vizio just copy paste with cheap material. There are the companies that invent and companies that copy.and the price isnt even close to expensive.

  • @TheGarvito Yep, I am dumb for investing in American based companies. Companies are all coming out with the same technology, more or less at the same time. If you honestly believe that technology is only created at by one company at a time, then you are the dumb one. Anyway, you are not going to convince me that when a company takes a technology, emulates it, improves upon it, and then releases it to the public at a cheaper price, that it is a bad thing.

  • @TheGarvito Also, stop talking out of your ass. The technology behind lcd was actually created all the way back in the 60's. The first television to be released with an lcd display was made by Casio. Long story short, Sony was behind none of the technology that you brought up . . . and crystal displays ARE lcd's . . . though I have never heard of them referred to as such. I am just going to block you. If your only response is complete idiocy and made up bs, you are too stupid to converse with.

  • Good review man. Love da mote control. lol I like how that sounds.

  • "Da Mote Controll"

  • In your opening title, there's no "i" in technology.

  • i'm just curious to know... will these tv's support a pal signal from aerial or device such as a dvd player or video recorder or even cable box...?

Anyone from Australia who has purchased one and taken it back to australia please let me know or if from US please let me know if there is a menu option to change from ntsc to pal or ntsc/pal hybrid.

  • Nice TV dude! Good review.

  • Thanks for this video. Looking at getting this very TV.

  • You should work for viZio,Dam good video,Good Job and thanks for sharing

  • HA HA HA HA HA that is funny the xbox only plays at 60hz

  • can you connect the z5500 speakers to the av receiver to use it as 5.1 setup?

  • DAMN!

  • was looking at a Element 40" vs Vizio 37" same price and picture quality but not sure if the Element will last and be worth the +3" bigger screen ?

  • if you are in the market for this TV they have it on Yugster.com only for $699 Factory Re-certified.

  • @myopinionxxx Xbox 360 doesn't have 3D capabilities yet. ;D

  • im getting the 32 inch xvt

  • Does yours not have the via apps and wifi on it? That's one thing I don't like how Vizio uses the same design on a tv and they will make 3 different tv's with the same external design but with different specs. I've read from several people how this has confused them and they end up getting the wrong tv.

  • it's not a Sony

  • My dad has this upstairs, and holy shit, it is a kick ass TV.

  • @NCSPr0ductions thanx !!! have good day.

  • hows cod on dat shit haha

  • @bbaeza5 cool

  • Hey I gotta question. I just got the 47 inch model and it's great except for it leans back just a little on the stand. I can't really notice it to much from the front view but I can for sure when I look at it from the side. Has anybody else had this problem? I'm not sure if I should take it back for that or not. I guess I'm being kinda picky but I did just spend 1200 bucks on this set

  • Thank you for your thorough review i am seriously considering this TV

  • @fxzeromasta cool

  • Very ironic i watched this vid, I just ordered a Vizio 23" razor! Tht tv looks great! Btw, this was probobly the best review vid i have ever seen. You did not miss a thing. I love vizio, they are deffinetly the best brand of HDTV's.

  • I have a 3 years old 26" Vizio tv and it's still running like a champ, Vizio is a great company from what I have experienced. Glad to know that there lasting and continuing to make great products.

  • hey flywave, i just had 2 questions: 1.) I was at costco looking at this model ($850) and the 120hz model ($699), do you recommend the 240 over the 120? is there a big difference? I know its more frames but can you really tell?

2.) I noticed that the remote in your video is different than the remote I saw on the 240hz box, it seems it was sporty a slide out qwerty remote, have you heard anything about that? is that new? thanks in advance =)

  • @osnapitzwoo I would get the 120hz you really won't notice a difference... save the extra money. :)

  • I am really impressed with my vizio 42 ". I must say, excellent quality..

  • lol my friend bought the same vizio for 150 $ and his is 47 inches lol but the guy who sold it had stole it

  • @MEDINA559IFY Your friend's a lucky bitch, I wish I bought a cheap stolen Vizio LCD. xD

  • so wihich one are better??? samsung? vizio? or philips? i just want to buy one so bad!!

  • Help me people!! i want to buy a HDTV for my xbox360..which one is better and cheaper??? please!!i have 900 dollars..what i can buy with that???

  • I'm going to get one like this one of these days...

  • how are the black levels though?

  • @blacnknot why did u say that? are vizio stong do they last long

  • UMM YEAH THATS WHY I ASKED...notice the topic of this YOUTUBE?? smfh I have THIS T.V. IM ASKING HOW DO I GET THE EFFECT ......GET IT??

  • dude, nice review. i want that tv really bad now

  • @Flywave77 You made the video more than half year ago. So far; how do you like it? Have you have any problem so far?

I am planing to buy one of this but I want to see wheather you have had any problem or complains!!!

    Thanks

  • this is such a strong game. people could easily get the complete version for absolutely free. just google ps3bigskydownload and check 1st link. it's such a enjoyable and impressive game. have a good time with!

  • Expect this tv to be unable to power up by October 2010.

  • Ok cool I just saw your unboxing video. Was asking for this 1 Thank I will be watching your 2 videos on this TV until UPS brings me minds.

  • PSP scenes per second?= SPS if a TV does 1080p it obviously does all the rest. Blue ray discs are new to the consumer market and only recently affordable on mass production. High Definition TV is 30 years old, again TVs were not capable due to expensive components.

  • im getting the vizio SV422XVT with my income tax ^_^ been grinding with a 32 lcd 780p for a hot min

  • Nice review man :)

I, myself, just bought a HD Vizio 120 Hz 1080p TV. It is beautiful. The 240Hz was out of my price range :P

  • I mad cause 2 years ago, I paid 787 in walmart for a 37" 60Hz LCD... Im so disappointed right now >=/

  • That fuckin sux man!

I find it hard to get used to the new 240 hertz tv though! It looks "Weird" To fast!!!!

  • thts wat i like most about 240Hz the smoothness of the image, no more blur at the bottom of ESPN lol plus MW2 must look sweet on it

  • Mine's on the way. I appreciate you giving me a taste of what's to come.

  • Great review, knocked out of the park, I've been in the market for a second but really never got go into stores to see them, so I'm stuck with internet summary's, you showed me everything I wanted to see and hear about it. Thank you, I'm gettin a SV421XVT

  • nice tv im getting me one of those and nice review

  • real talk people, i was talking to a dude at bestbuy and he said basically all LCDs are the same, their almost all made the same company, just under different brands, but for this SV421XVT how you liking it? whats the difference with the SV42-2-XVT? im thinking bout picking one up but havent decided.

  • @low72 I sell hdtv and I can tell you not all LCD are the same. It depends what are you looking for, you budget and how much attention you pay into the details. The aspects that really matters are video quality:720p,1080i or 1080p. Refresh rate: 60 Hz, 120Hz , 240, 200Hz and 240 Hz. Image processor and finally the contrast ratio up to 1million:1.

If you are looking for something good but not that expensive just go for 1080p, 120Hz, and the medium-high processor. Youll save big cash!!

  • Wait, does it have a vga but no dvi port?

  • what does 240hz doo for your tv

  • what do you guys think about the sony KDL-46v5100? I got that at Best Buy with a hell of a deal. WHat is SOny's reputation i need feedback

  • sonys my favorite brand except for tv's....samsung makes their tvs

  • This wasn't really a review. It was a pretty good overview of the TV and I'm going to look into buying this TV now. However just to clarify a few things. Your eye can only see 24 frames per second from what a lot of people say. Personally once a game hits 60fps I can't tell the difference after that. I would have loved to see the TV's picture settings, you only went through presets and I'd like to see customizations. Still, good overview, thanks for the video!

  • have you had any issues with the tv

  • hey, i have those speakers. those are logitech right?

  • It's not true 240hz, only Sony and Samsung make those. This 240hz is a different type of 240hz, not completely fake but tricked.

  • lol most televisions have 240hz dood..samsung/sony have the same 240hz doesnt mean its "true". sharp toshiba LG etc have their own type of 240hz that works in its own way...all depends on what u think looks best..there is no "tricked" 240hz

  • Hey man love your review really helpful

  • Well, you're retarded because you wasted your money. You can get all the quality for half the price with Vizio. Stop your whining.

  • yea asswipe cus with samsung your payin for the brand, all lcd tvs are basically the same. how is your samsung better than this vizio when vizio is the #1 seller of tvs? plus vizios you get the most bang for your buck. im thinking about getting one for downstairs but my sony will kick your samsungs ass!

  • very true...if the sp[ecs are the same as a samsung tv and the samsung tv is more expensive...its usually the name ur paying for which is nonsense....if ur affraid its gonna break down in less than 2 years..buy an extended warranty

  • thanks alot for the review!!^^ i just recently got this tv and its awesome.

  • will it work for my 19 in version

  • Man UR set up looks Great! Thanx for the upload. I'm looking to get the Vizio 55" led. I've seen great things about Vizio also crap about it. I wanna join the fam. U said u've had several V-tvs so what happened to them? Thanx

  • I still have them just in different parts my house.

  • jan 2010 vizio wi-fi hdtv will hit stores

  • Decent enumeration of operational features but lacking technical depth.

  • hey can this tv do that samsung Automotion plus "fake video" effect? i heard so on a memc feature? lemme know pls!

  • no sorry

  • nice logitech z5500 :)

  • 123

  • not true 240Hz tv

  • 15 percent lol 2:16

  • Great review!

My friend just got this TV, and it's on it's way...If I like it after seeing it, I may finally go HD. I've been holding out for a LED TV, but hopefully this on is good enough for me. Much less money....(I'd get the 47" though)

    Thanks for the review! :)

  • GD VID!!!

  • Blueray is only a biffed-up dvd. Nothing revolutionary. It delivers 24 frames per second at the resolution of 1920×1080.

TV is emitted at 30 fps and movies at 24fps. The screen has a constant frame rate. Early LCD refreshed at 60Hz so in order to display a movie some frames needed to be displayed twice causing a nasty jerkiness. 120Hz fixes that because 120 is a multiple of 30 and 24. In a movie each frame is displayed 5 times and in a TV show - 4 times.

    240Hz doesnt bring any revolution.

  • hey man good information its good to see someone knows what there saying

  • ur right 240hz is overkill but its still nice lol

  • @t190snakecharmer man, overkill is not nice. overkill is ... overkill

  • lol probably right..kinda useless..but nice to brag about

  • Just picked up the Vizio and will get my additional FIOS DVR delivered by Thursday. The basic digital channels from cable look fine and I'll see what the HD box can do. Seems like I also should buy a blue ray player. That's next. That's for the recommendation!

  • Great Review! I have been struggling with either getting the Toshiba, Samsung or Sharp Aquos. Your video is very impressive and really well put together. I did see this TV in Costco and was very leary about the purchase even though I have a 47 inch Vizio from a couple of years ago, before the 120hz wave... And I'm happy with the purchase. Now based on your video, I may certainly go back to Costco and give it a second look. Again, great job and the beats at the end were also timely and great!

  • Great video my man!

Even though I'm waiting for the Vizio VF552XVT right now, this made me want to run out and gra this model . Vizio has really stepped their game up and is delivering some great products for a great price now!

    Thanks again for your video.

  • Dude I have a Vizio, I've had it for about a year and 3 months, and then when I went to turn it on, it blew. I read reviews online and thousands of people have had complaints about this. Around a year and 3 months after purchase the circuit board blows on them, and it does it right after the warrenty goes void. I'm really pissed, but I won't buy another Vizio, Sony Bravia here I come. I'm just trying to warn you and anybody that Vizio isn't what it's hyped up to be.

  • Thanks great video! I was wondering what speakers do you use for your tv?

    Thanks,

    Cameron

  • I wish you would've showed more of this tv in action. I saw a really good deal on this but I really want the samsung ln52b750 which is also 240hz. This tv is like half the price though.

  • how is the sound quality and since i dont have blue ray does the 1080 pix enhance regular dvds?

  • Any problem with Ghosting like the Samsungs? 50k to 1 is low compared to other models who offer 3mil to 1.

  • No Ghosting with this Vizio. The picture is very crisp. It truely is a great for the price $999,00 [in store] in compare to 1,600-3,000. By one from costco and if you don't like take it back 90 days. 240Hz Reduce almostly all that while watching Blueray. Samsungs 3,000,000:1 Yes, the picture is very sharpe. the great smoot motion feature is very important great fast action blueray's, But you will pay allot for that for sure. $2-3,000 more those features. Samsungs is only blacklight 120Hz:(

  • the vizio is also backlight 120hz. this vizio uses a scanning backlight to get the 240 hz "effect" so its really 120hz.

  • PS3 and Xbox games refresh rate is at 60 frams Samsung UN40B6000 120Hz and the Vizio XVT fresh 120Hz plus add 240Hz! sooth motion feature double the Hz's. that 240 fram per second:)

  • I dont remember being and "i" in technology lol but the video is cool and good on the specifics on the TV
