failing that, if you don't want studio sound but enough to make it sound decent on your ipod. I downloaded freecorder, bought a double ended 3.5mm jack plug it into mic and headphones and it works well. need to play around with volumes but then i just amped it up again using mp3 gain..hope thi helps

i am not extacly sure what you mean, but this might help: make sure the volume on the computer isn't too high
