Amy Lee's music is certainly dark...I suppose I could understand why some people might consider her music gothic. But I really don't look into those sort of things, therefore I really have no idea whether her music classifies as technically and specifically gothic or not.

Also, I personally don't see why gothic is an insult. I happen the gothic style can be quite haunting, enchanting, beautiful. Then again, just my own opinion. Everyone has a right to their own opinion :)
