This is not a good help video. They always leave ******* out. Example: Rectangle resize by typed dimensions... It would be really helpful if they would tell you you needed your Rectangle to be either squared or golden section. I spent a few thinking google enginners were just ****beep Boo Google Shame on you. Bad Bad Bad FAUX PAUS
Yeah you guys are so pleasant. so glad I dont live where you are, whatever shithole in the world it is. I have nothing against metric douchbag, Im just saying that we use Imperial here so was trying to understand how to use the program. too bad you are so rude that you couldnt offer help but instead got your panties in a twist.
I enjoyed the tutorial. I've imported a lot of SketchUp objects to my projects in Live Interior 3D. You can see some walkthroughs of my projects on my page.

Well Google is an American country so it makes sense that if theyre going to do a tutorial they do it in the units that we Americans use, so buzz off.
Well, they would do it exclusively in imperial units if they only wanted to appeal to the American market, which would be short sighted for a company aiming for an international audience. And Google is not a country by the way.
select the rectangle tool, click and drag while holding down the left mouse button (I'm actually doing it on a trackpad), keep your finger on the mouse button, type in 10,20 and hit the enter/return button then , and only then, let the button go:). You should have a rectangle 10,20

here in the US most everyone works in Imperial, why are they specifying metric? im new to this....

Because the US is the only place that uses imperial. The rest of the world is in the 21st century.

it works well if you type e.g. 12m;15m
or 12,3m;15,2m
kasvaja 3 years ago 6
it also works when you type 12; 15 in the box

filling in the dimensions does not work, it only works for one axis. i am typing e.g. 10m,13m but it just does not work.
The same thing for un-soften edges the shift + control or option + shift does not work. I have a macbook pro so dont think thats the problem.
some sugestions, thanks max

Same problem

10m,13m is false you have to type
10m; 13m OR
10; 13 OR
10;13
but the " ; " is important

No, the comma is correct, at least on the PC version. SketchUp v7.08xxx

it does work, but you have to hold down the left mouse button while you are typing the values
