'The Wall' is like a Bible of music of its era - at least for the ones who understand those times (the political context, the social norms, etc.) Brilliant!
at one point i thought a drug filled excistence was it...two years sober and hiv+ i now know better drugsand drink create hell on earth at least it did for me
@pipon55 the rat dies right, the song that plays is comfortably numb so it pretty much saying how he used to feel for sadness when Pink was young, but as he grew old he became more comfortably numb. maybe even emotionaly numb.
@MoondogGuitarist Comfortably Numb is a song about Roger Waters and his doctor. Sometimes, during long tours Roger would suffer from anxiety and burn-out so his doctor would give him an injection before shows to help him "get through the show" The injections used to leave him feeling stange and high, or "Comfortably Numb" if you will. Roger Waters had very little input in this movie...it is Alan Parkers take on it which Waters didn't even really like actually.
@pipon55 it explains his overprotective mother. she wont let him keep a small rodent so she tells him to dispose of it. he decides to take care of it. the next day he gets a fever and his mother forces him to stay in bed. because he wasnt there to feed the rat, it died and it was all his mom's fault. All in all that was just another brick in the wall.
Finally saw this movie for the first time last night - holy crap, amazing movie... amazing imagery. Everything was so flawlessly done - thanks for posting this!!
rockyracune - "The English guy in THE WALL could not ever be president, because one must be a natural-born citizen. He is not a natural-born citizen - just like old Obama, who has screwed up the American economy beyond repair, perhaps."...........Nice rant, dude, but the movie is based in England. (if you've ever watched it) haha
What's wrong with you people? "Oh, my 6 years son saw some boobs" "natural-born citizen", "Inapropiate". You didn't get a fucking message from this movie, didn't you? Pink Floyd would kick your asses so hard...

the movie is excellent...and for people who walks alone trough their lives.....like me....for people who feels that the world is always over their shoulders...and don`t have anyone to talk...greeting from Costa Rica
@chapaum i get what your saying.i actually became became obsest with this movie when i was 17 and i still love it because it stands alone and always will.write back if you'd like to talk.i'm always walking alone to.
@chapaum i was just thinking about costa rica. I was there once a few years ago, and I met a person who didn't try to break my balls. And I am not sure if i have met one person since then like that. I know how you feel. It seems that people always make things more complicated than they have to be, but i think its just because they are afraid. Maybe their parents told them to build a wall.
I bought this movie today!! and saw it for the first time, it was awsome
the only thing was that i watched it with my 6 year old brother who;s actually knew all the songs from the movie but there were some boobs that he shoudnt have seen XD!
