I just had a horrifying thought. What if the thing somehow kept it's host body alive and cognizant of it's human self as WELL as being part of the parasite? Holy hell, the amount of pain and suffering those poor bastards would feel! We auto-assume that the host dies when taken over. what if it weren't entirely true, rather the host is completely aware of itself and aware of what it's going through. Kept alive by cellular melding. Like how breathing machines keep humans alive! I shudder to think!

I like the first game even though not very good at it, I only got to about the 4th level when you have to go from the first outpost to the next one and you find a tower on the way with a frightened man in it but I love how true to the 80's film it is(except for Childs not being next to Macready) it's so creepy and not knowing who to trust and stuff.

Actually, they did make a game for The Thing. It was for PS2. The last time I saw it was in a Cash Convertors in Virginia, and I was going to get it...until the clerk kept yammering with some asshole customer and made me change my mind. Try ebay, it might very well be there too, especially since the movie made a comeback.
