  • I'm just trying to find what I need, but I'd rather be smoking weed!

  • People crack me up when it comes to stealing and sampling. If he out right stole it, fine let the original composers sue him. But some people call sampling stealing when the artist paid for the rights to use a part of the song. A lot of producers get a bad name from a misunderstanding.

  • As long as Timbaland credits the people that he stole from, and maybe compensates them, then its cool. If he is continuing to steal full parts, like the "Do It" song, then he is just wrong. As a electronic musician myself, it's not right to steal entire parts or even the whole song's main riff, and then not credit.

  • @faethor7 to some credit I think that thats the only (or one of few) where Timbo actually STOLE, he paid a sampling fee for everything and anything else (even the stuff people are suing him for) its just that the owners kids didn't get a piece of the action yada yada yada.

  • @PancakeRecipes dude u couldnt be anymore right lol . I dunno why ppl r sweating this so much its a beautiful ting when u combine 2 diff styles n make a whole new one out of em !

  • Timbo does it again. Disgraceful!!

  • I had to dislike this, not because of the musical content. I disliked it because the poster claims this is the ONLY song where the original was better than the sample. I think when it comes to Timbaland (who even "sampled" his name), ALL of the ORIGINALS are BETTER!

  • idc what noone says like they both sound good both ways i mean he couldve gave some credit and that sample lie hes sticking to is bs but let my dude live damn

  • I hate ppl that always worry about how other ppl are making their money. what are yall the FBI of music lol. And timbaland couldnt possibly steal music. and if he did .. then that means the composer the of the original music was so hard to find that he used it anyway and suffered the fees later bcuz he has money to do that. its only stealing if he never pays the artist(s) or the publishing company that owns the rights to the masters. do ur research before you slander a persons name.

  • @GoonMuzik1983 they know that already but i think the video poster is just showing people who don't know

  • if you dont get hip hop you wont understand. HIP HOP WAS CREATED OFF SAMPLES!!!!!!!!!!!! there was not synthesizers or beat machines back in the day. and im sure if timbaland honed his skills that way and made money then what does it matter?

  • @GoonMuzik1983

Dude most Bollywood movies are blatant rip offs of American movies, and they don't pay for the copyrights. Their total hypocrites they steal WAY more American art in the east then we steal in the west from them.

  • this girl look like mayweather haha

  • Sampling is very hard to do without butchering a great song in the process

  • @McDougal23 U HAVE TO BUTCHER

  • that boy timbo flipped this beat nice wow

  • Maid On The Shore is about a maiden being taken aboard a ship, singing the men to sleep, robbing the sin out of them, and later singing the same song to show off to them that she stole their treasure. I'm amused by the fact that that's what they choose to "show love" to women. It's funny 'cause they're talking about women who take care of their own. Just - put the lyrics of Maid on the Shore to the lyrics to this, you'll see what I mean.

  • Oh man timblands beat totally sucks ass. I mean, how can you make something not work with rhytm when you use a sequencer. Furthermore, definitely "stole"

  • @Jannto U a lie. Timbo made that joint incredible. though it was b4 he touched it also

  • @Tick386 it's called opinion.

  • @Jannto timbos beat was great

  • @Jannto sampled retard....

  • @Jannto lol.. yeah he's only one the most dynamic hip hop producers of our time, but he sucks.. lol. It's not stealing, it's being creative. Have you ever tried sampling? Have u ever tried to find something and reword it into something new? It's not easy, and in many instances is much harder. Here's a fact, you will not be able to name me one hip hop producer who hasn't sampled a song - if you can, il take this comment back.

  • @ajaimusic Usually I don't make comments on youtube but there's lots of hip hop producers that don't sample. While I admit it's impossible to prove if they have EVER sampled a song, there are hip hop producers who do not currently sample. Earl Blaize/ Antipop Consortium and El-p spring to mind instantly.

  • @youflyfly el-p samples sir and i dont know who the other ppl are

  • This beat is so disrespectful, Tim beasted this sample, he's a GENIUS!

  • Timbaland flipped this song!

  • lol did u mean to say Punjabi and not Punjami?

  • fuck all yall timbaland made it sound better than that garbage lol

  • @GoonMuzik1983 The original is awesome if it was garbage why did he samp.. uh no steal it because it's awesome idiot

  • This is hilarious! I can't believe they sampled a song about a woman tricking a captain selfishly :) Wow. I know the Solas song, I was actually looking for that when I found this, and I'm just.... beside myself lol.

  • @tyedyegoddess have know idea what your talking about

  • This song ain't Indian.

  • I love this, I thought I was the only person in the world who knew that. Lol. I love Solas and I think it's great that it translated well into other cultures.

  • MosleyRn8,

The original sample is NOT a Punjabi song. It is a song called "Maid On The Shore" and it is performed by an Irish band called Solas. Their song is on YouTube, if you want to look. Hope that helps.
