  • No, it is Susie showing compassion to Vivian. Also, she is telling her about DNR because she sees her as person and not "research" as the doctors do.

  • it's to show Vivian finally realizing what compassion is.... throughout she is only obsessed with intellect, and with the giving of the Popsicle to Suzie, she is showing the starting of compassion and her need for Suzie's compassion in return :)

  • no it really helps when you're on chemo. It's easy on the stomach and keeps you hydrated just like she says.

  • so far as i can understand, the point of this in the context of the play/movie is that it isn't a metaphor for anything...which is something new, for an english scholar.
