I think what makes me angry is stuff like how it was announced about 10 years ago that Union subway station would be renovated with hardly any work to show for it since then. I know that when the city workers went on strike last summer, Miller would give a press confrence in Metro Hall with strikers outside the building trying to drown him out with their noise. They'll definately be very sorry they had ever bashed against such a union friendlty mayor when Ford comes to power though.

The infrastructure of our roads are deteriorating, the transit system is crumbling and our garbage/recycling plans are a joke while taxes continue to escalate outrageously. Miller Lite only caters to city unions to a point that it impacts his ability to do his job. I want someone who puts the needs of every working person ahead of business interests. What we have is a socialist who puts the needs of unions above everyone else. Enough already and lets get rid of this douchebag in 2010.

The green bins were designed to keep our garbage out of landfills in michigan (which we pay for). Now, we have so much green waste that we ship or garbage somewhere else. WE STILL PAY MONEY. Lastman was great! a clown but who cares, he collected my garbage, my streets were spotless and anytime I had a complaint it was dealt with...not the case with Mr. Miller. This is NOT a wildcat strike, the strike action was caused by the ATU Local 113 members who voted "NO" on TTC's 3-year contract offer.

The 2008 TTC STRIKE was a LEGAL STRIKE ACTION but, however the Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 113 did not provide Torontoians 48-hours notice. The TTC was on strike between April 26 and April 27 2008 leaving over millions of Torontoians paralized.

Toronto Mayor David Miller should declare TTC Toronto as "essential service". (classified under "essential service", TTC Toronto will not be able to strike again.)

The problem is that an "essential service" will mean a sweeter deal to the union, since it's an "essential service".

We *could* look at contracting out, but private sectors also see strikes.

TTC Union leaders and workers are happy now. Because they have just made the city paralized. Because they have just made millions of riders unhappy and caused inconveniences to millions of riders.
