You lose power and torque when you run straight pipes though cause of the lack of backpressure they sound badass though.. a simple cure to have the sound but not lose the power are exhaust cutouts

It depends on your truck for example the hemi loses power and torque when you add a 40 series flowmaster because of the lack of backpressure (this has been proven through dynos and anybody who wants to dispute that can call flowmaster and they will tell you) so talk to somebody at a midas or muffler shop and they should be able to tell you. one way to create more backpressure though if you are lacking it is a cold air intake i recomend K&N
