I'm wondering if the Blue Angels and Thunder Birds have ever flown together and if not, will they ever? I can't get over how they push the mileage on older fighter jets and make it look this awsome.

I met Blue Angel 1 yesterday, and got his autograph.I told him to take care of my plane because I was going to take his spot, and he said ok I will. Thats the best thing anyone has ever said to me.

@LucidDream101 I'm in Civil Air Patrol right now and they treat us like real military.. They probably go through alot worse things though but I can handle it haha. Yeah I ran over to my dad pretty much crying after he said that

These air shows are a great recruitment activity. Demonstrations of technical and human capability makes us feel both proud and safe. But everything costs money. Our country is under an internal strangle hold by powerful and wealthy folks who don't want to pay their fair share of taxes. That leaves the ever-shrinking middle class to pay for this activity, at a time when the rich and powerful outsource our jobs to China, India & Canada. We need to change the world trade agreement of the 1990s

I'm an ardent patriot. But, wasting our nation's resources is not patriotism. With all due respect to every branch of our Armed Forces, I think it's time to put the Blue Angels on the shelf.  Perhaps in the future when the nation has the money for this needless activity, it can be resumed. Or, if the few folks who attend the shows can afford to buy the aircraft, the fuel and rent the air field, it would be great. But at a time when Republicans keep cutting taxes, we just can't afford it.

@joesitter20101 Do you even know the point of this program? They are here to inspire young men and wemon to join the Millitary to protect your country. Yes I understand it is exspensive but why the hell would you want to cancel them? That would be the dumbest move possible. And as for Republicans "cutting taxes" that is so we may rightfully have the money we earned rather than give money to the people who do not work for it...

@joesitter20101 Airshows are a part of the PR and recruiting budget. If you look at the sponsors of airshow events they are just funding by the military though.

I love going to these events... Why would you want them to stop?

My dad, captain Billy Eaton-6515 OMS, was stationed at NAF El centro back in 67. We finally got on base I believe in the summer of 67. That's back when the Blue Angels used to do their air activities over the base until the base command Captain Kasiasko banned it. My dad passed away in 1999 and my mother passed away in february of 2000. Most memoriable moment was when a A6 crusader lost it's power and smashed into the cattle yard down the road. Mike Rosner if you still alive give me a shout....
