i should have watched this song than don't laugh at me by peter, paul, mary this is better than lennon barely his is on bullying a little bit they are talking about bullying on the world not big against small really it is small against little
Why don't we help these people?I mean people all over, if we just stopped our "monkey" business, through off our "money shackles" we could change the way the world is. But do we have the leadership? Do we have the gumption? Or are we just too comfortable in our privilged lives to help.
And then there's this word society. Society doesn't think, doesn't feel, care, it just doesn't have a brain nor heart. All it has is billions of people. Like me. You.
Someone has said "be the change you wish to see in the world".

I don't understand why Green Day insisted on destroying this musical masterpiece by John Lennon, its sad how they think that they can even live up to Johns standard, they piss on him by doing this, they piss on everything he ever stood for. it's Ironic, i hope to god they sing this song until their lungs bleed from their million dollar estates..
What the FUCK is your problem? They covered a song they liked, if you don't like it, then Fuck off. They didn't destroy anything of John's, and who cares if it isn't his standard? They took a good song, and made their own version of it, not fucking trying to copy him. I'm tired of you ignorant shits. You think John would want you to be like you are? No, of course not, So fucking USE YOUR MINDS AND THINK FOR ONCE.
I don't think many artists around today could hold a candle to John or the the Beatles, but I don't think it's fair to say they piss on him... The world is full of terrible covers DEAL WITH IT!!!!! Plus to be brutally honest this is one of the better ones, they took John's work and brought it to a new generation, it's fine if purists like you don't like it but try and be a bit more open minded.
And people arguing "John wouldn't like if you said that", try to actually have a Peaceful tone to yourself, which, in turn, will lead to spreading of peace more
john lennon made something of this world now you see evry body dobt him but now there is a problem and they wish that john lennon was here you see now i miss john so much
its an awesome song, and people should stop "poor commenting" probum, as i think what he means as there is not enough women in the video giving their opinion, rather then in a sexual way.
this song is included in a cd in which there are several new versions of John Lennon's songs and the incoming will be offerded to Darfur...that's why they did this song (such Avril Lavinge for example who sang "imagine" in this cd) so don't critisice them !
I think they are doing a cover of one song it doesnt matter if it fits with the problem in Darfur. whatreally matters is if they collect money to help them
Why don`t you just try to perceive the message they try to expose through those people from Sudan, through lyrics..?I guess it`s more easier to come with all kind of opinions, to judge them.. but it`s harder trying find out information about what`s happening in countries like Sudan.. u`re just superficial.. and if u judge someone, make it with strong arguments..
Green Day isn't a bad band. They're definitely not The Beatles but they're the best "neo-punk" band you'll find. If they had to chose a current band to cover this song I think they made a good choice.
I am a HUGE Lennon fan, but i think this is a really good cover. And i think if Lennon were still alive he would have agreed with this effort. And Green Day isnt doing this to sell records, It is for the benefit of Darfur, no money went to the band.

wow,, green day, what fags john lennon was so genius and now theyve almost completely ruined it i have to go and listen to the original version to justify it to myself and ur right it is about the school system traumatizing kids.

What the fuck does this song have to with Darfur? NOTHING! It's a song about how the school system is traumatizing and brainwashing kids. They're using the horrible things that happen in Darfur and John Lennon to sell records. This is truly disgusting.
Ah, well that makes it a bit better. But if they truly cared about Darfur, they could have at least put in the effort to do a song thats relevant to the cause.
