I'm from Pasadena.. (Van Halen's hometown) and I was in a band back in the mid 80's, One evening I was on the freeway going to band practice and it was bumper to bumper. I look over and JUST ahead of me in the next lane is Anthony!! I tried to get up next to him to say, "hey, I'm a bass player too! or whatever. But traffic was horrible and i couldn't. He was driving a black Porsche, low and wide with super wide tires. His lic. place was:

Y'know what? If you read some excerts from Sammy Hagars book (it was never published but some chapters about the Balance album/tour were leaked) it states in there that Micheal was not in fact being paid his fair share. Eddie and Sammy wrote the songs, and yet somehow ALEX got songwriting credit too. All Al does is play drums, but was paid as much as the two songwriters. The new VH manager, Ray Daniels, got more money from Balance than Anthony did from all 6 Roth albums. Go figure.

man, nuno NAILED that solo. its was perfect. that so rocked. i think mikey and nuno should get a drummer and start a group. now that would be sweet. they played great together. also, i might add that i'm getting sick of mickeal anthony and sammy doing old van halen. they should be leaving that to van halen and writing their own material. i think that would be pretty kick ass. sammy is a really good songwriter.

It's a shame that from 1998 till his firing that the Van Halen brothers treated Michael like just a hired gun instead of a founding member. Michael was just as important in Van Halen as anyone else. He deserves better from Eddie & Alex.

I agree with you, however Anthony did bring alot to Halen, on stage and with back up vocs and they treated him like shit. Eddie is a great guitar player but a miserable human being.

I guess Eddie must have missed that step.Mike was Van Halen's anchor,the only normal guy in the band. I just want to know who's gonna rock the Jack Daniel's bass now?
