  • 12 people got killed from the falling bricks

  • MINECRAFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • How do you render physics?

  • @BjarkeDuDe You have to click on Game/Record to Animation, hit "p" to start the simulation, stop it with Esc and go back to Blender Render

  • thats really cool! I like the music as well, it lightens up the whole thing.

how did you get the camera to shake naturally?

  • I suggest you take it easy on the camera shaking. I assume you are trying to make it look like someone is holding a camera. Make it very subtle (but still noticeable). Right now it reminds me of the GTA4 drunk cam.

  • I think you forgot the stuff that goes on the bricks... I forgot the name

  • Sooo much camera shake.

  • camera is drunk

  • It's a good year to be alive.

  • it looks so cool when the structures collapse in this. nice job

  • that was amazing, now all you need to do is add textures

  • are their tutorials for this

  • "all rendered with simple ambient occlusion" what's ambient occlusion buddy?

  • How do u do this with blender someone help

  • this is like.. destruction 3.5 XD

  • this is why you put mortar between the bricks in real life.

  • That... WAS AWESOME! Have a cookie!

  • lol @ the music

  • nice camera work :) my favorite so far.

  • *dramatic music*

  • its... so... beautiful O.O

  • @MrMelonMonkey Aww thanks :)

  • @stanbwonderful

how long did it take to render this? It's meant to take like 3-4 days, right?

  • @NikeTao I don't remember the exact render times, but it wasn't that long. It's just simple AO with the internal rendering engine, so each frame probably took a minute or so.

  • JENGA!!!

  • Someone, somewhere, asked "what would happen is I put a ball on top of a Chinese handcuffs?" now you know.

  • its... Beautiful ;_;

  • Nice music really adds to the tone

  • tuturial?

  • 0:02

u see all these cubes just falling by themselves without anyone touching it

is there a way to make sure all of the cubes are packed tightly in place ?

  • yea your minecraft house is pretty nice

  • were these part of the CIA preparation for the WTC demolitions?

  • 1st one=taking a dump FAIL lol

  • Hey, nice physics simulation. But how do you Make hold your tower before the impact ? Every time i try to make a tower with rigid body, when i launch the game engine, all collapse. Nevertheless, my tower is Is piled well ... Thanks :)

  • LOVE the music, what is it?

  • nice vid and nice song who made it and what's the name of it???

  • how did you get the camera to do that?

  • How did you animate it

  • great video but the music... :D

  • holy shit im going to be sick from that shaky camera... its like im watching Cloverfield or something D:

  • 0:44 epic implosion

    -AJ

  • Very cool. But .. SOMEONE GIVE THAT VIRTUAL CAMERAMAN A PEE BREAK!! XD

  • @MrStimpy77 Okay, the virtual cameraman I hired for this shoot has some 'issues', but he was the best I could get at short notice.

  • is it realtime? how many FPS

  • @BassScavenger It's not realtime, all pre-rendered.

  • @stanbwonderful lol real time

  • @stanbwonderful lol real time

And i like the shaky camera well done

  • how did you stack all those cubes???? like is there an easier way than to click them to place???(hahhaha doing that would take like.... forever)

  • @kyutboi123 Start off by making on layer of bricks, then copy and paste :)

  • @stanbwonderful but when i do that, since it's copy and pasted, it's the "same" block and when Keyed in frames, it takes on the same pos/rot/sca as the orignal... help?

  • @stanbwonderful myn always fall a litle bit down and then there mostly unstable :s

  • Nice "handheld" camera effect. It might be just a little too much, though.

  • wow, watching the first one gave me chills... very INCEPTION...

  • how do i connect my blender to my computer?

  • @21leftcenter With a USB 2 cable. You can use USB 1 and it will work but it won't be fast enough to blend anything.

  • @stanbwonderful You'd better wait a couple of month for the wi-fi blender dongle! Awesome!

  • @stanbwonderful You'd better wait a couple of month for the wi-fi blender dongle! Awesome!

  • @stanbwonderful you'd better wait a couple of month for the wi-fi dongle. That's the real awesomeness!

  • When in earthquake run to stairwell.

  • YES, now i can break things without being arrested!

  • conclusion: works

  • How long was the render?

  • PLEASE... A DOWNLOAD! PLEASE!

  • @FRURMELLL Blender is free, just google it

  • @FRURMELLL Blander is free, but it is so hard to make, don't even start on it!

  • very nicce but make it go faster so it looks more real because this is like in slow motion but other wise nice done

  • How do you do to render the video from the game engine ?

  • @temudjin1155 Sorry if this is a bit late, but go to the top where it says "game" and do "record to IPO"or whatever it says, and then play your animation, then switch back to blender render and press play! oh, and change your frame rate in the game engine to 25 instead of 60 or else it will look slowed down

  • @spiceuvlife Thanks for this response. I'm gonna try this :)

    Thanks again !

  • i must say, blender has superb physics for a free program

  • wtf how is it possible to make that

  • the structure at 0:39 was not build so well, might want to use a little cement on those bricks

  • @Iguitar212 The first time I built it I built it too well and it didn't fall down :(

  • How do you make the camera do that? (note: I don't have blender)

  • @I8DEAN8I The camera was being controlled with a script I found online so I can't take too much credit for that, I just love the effect.

  • @I8DEAN8I i believe that this script gives the handheld camera effect: h ttp:// mke3.net/projects/bpython/Constraint_Noise-1.0.py , i found the link on cgtuts. com

  • @KiwimageArt Thanks! I got blender the rendering is really slow even when I change the properties. Are all animation programs like that?

  • @I8DEAN8I indeed, most of the time it can be very long, in most 3d softwares.

The rendertime depends on your light settings, anti aliasing, polycount and of course your renderer. I suggest you try Yafaray (it's fast), or Luxrender ( i haven't tried this one yet) wich are external renderers, pretty neat for blender.

  • @KiwimageArt Thanks you're a big help! I'll get back to work!

  • @KiwimageArt Thanks you're a big help! I'll get back to work! If I have anymore questions I'll make sure to ask you. ;D

  • @I8DEAN8I or u could use a real camera shake it and track the footage in voodoo!

  • Very cool animations!

But the camera shake is extremely annoying. It looks like the cameraman is drunk. No camera in real life shakes that much, you should really tone that down.

  • loving it more and more everytime i watch it!

  • Very nice. Music goes well.

  • How the hell did an amazing video like this get 5 dislikes? Trolls? Great job, nice camera animation too, very natural seeming.

  • @EXCESSENTERTAINMENT Thank you :o)

  • can i dowload blender 3 ?

  • how do you make the camera move around in the animation?

  • 2012: DE BLOB >=O

  • This seems so REAL! WOW... good work man!

  • @ Blendiv you need to change the ending frame value. It is located in the render settings.

  • I have made a few physics test like yours, but I can never get them to render all the way because you can only render 250 frames! Please help!

  • haha very cool music xD

    good work.keep it up

  • The thought occurred to me halfway through that the person filming needs to get a steadier hand on the camera, and then I realised that it was all fake! I mean that's really good, realistic with the camera movements

  • There it is! There's the smoking gun!

This proves beyond a doubt that a LARGE RUBBER BALL, NOT two airliners, caused the collapse of the Twin Towers!

  • It must have taken you FOREVER to make those huge buildings! Is there a way to auto stack them or somthing? Please Reply

  • @PivotGodof09 I start by making the first layer, just copying the bricks. Then I make the second layer, with the bricks moved over so they interlock. Then, I highlight all the bricks in both layers and start copying them upwards. Hope that makes sense. All done with copy/paste :o)

  • @PivotGodof09 Copy and clone the objects

  • loved the video - very interesting.

And can I just say that your music choice was superb! Seriously!

  • Very nice - looks very believable.

  • this was really good. How did you get the camera to move like that? and is there a way to speed up the simulation or increase the gravity so that the objects fall quicker? thanks

  • @ryanthewallaby The camera movement was done with a 'camera jitter' script. You can download it, just do a good search and you should find it.

As for slowing it down, I'm sure there's a way to tweak it but I've never tried, so I can't really tell you anything.

  • @stanbwonderful the easiest way to make it fall slower is by decreasing the frames per second (FPS), and you can change the gravity in the world settings (F5 then world buttons)

  • @ryanthewallaby all you can do is make the render animation 'step' forward 2 or 3 frames. if you have other things moving then just make them slower, or try to step forward the simulation. i wouldnt know how to do that.

  • how long did it takes to render ?

  • was the building bouncing? i don't get it

  • @ishouldplayzelda Yeah, that happens when you stack the bricks too high, a quirk of the physics engine.

  • @stanbwonderful

I have the same problem. Is it possible to avoid this?

  • be a good screensaver =D

  • If it went on forever =)

  • i know right

  • awesome man

  • I really love this animation! 5/5 stars easily! I've build seeveral buildings but i can't get them to work as physics demos, can anyone reply to me with a link to a good tutorial please? :D

  • Thanks :o)

I'll look into making a tutorial at some point in the future, I'll let you know.

  • ты человек?

  • the second on is really nice how did u do it? btw see with the camera movement do u just insert a key frame or is there other way?

  • Start by making one rigid body brick, then copy it to build the first layer. Then make a second layer with the same brick. Then you can copy those two layers together to build the tower.

The camera was done with the Camera Jitter script. You can find it by doing a Google search for 'Blender Camera Jitter Script'

  • nice job. very cinematic. especially liked the second one. 5/5

    wut's with the mexican music?

  • Thanks :)

The music's Amadigi di Gaula, HWV 11 (arr. for trumpet and organ) Sinfonia by Rosko, Kamil

  • Lol, the first one was like unzipping pants

  • Comment removed

  • Looks fine and the Cam moves realistic 5 Stars and fav.

    Greets Mathes

  • Thanks :)

  • Did you disable shadowing and just render with Ambient Occlusion?

  • I rendered with just Ambient Occlusion, there are no hard shadows because there are no light sources.

  • Ohhh, clever! :)

  • 0:41 looked like wtc7 collapse

  • Very good effect!!! And your camera animation is great!

    Congra.

  • Thanks :o)

  • First Seconds I thought these were PokerChips :P

  • Lol!!! wow that came down beautifully =]

and the camera movement is kwl too!

  • Yeah, none of those were built to last :P

    Thank you

  • I actually thought the shacky camera effect was quite good. It's so easy to make it move smoothly and we see it in most animations like this.

  • Thank you :o)

  • shit how the camera is so all ova the shop, but a good video

  • Yeah, I probably over did the camera jitter a bit.

  • Cool !

    What was the render time?

    and machine specs ?

  • Rendered on a Core2Duo with 4gb of ram. Render times were about 10 secs per frame. No lights in any of the scenes, just basic AO.
