  • I once beat off 11 times in a single showing of The Legend Of Bagger Vance.

  • so is ja cool

  • The film is about harmony. Keep it simple, people.

  • "WAT YALL WATCHIN HOES!?"....."the legend of bagger vance..."

  • Read The Bhagavad Gita if you want to understand what is going on here.

Or you can just take my World Religions class. ;)

  • @ImanZaineb That's what's up! I'm learning about the Bhagavad Gita in World Studies.

  • @AfrightenedMoose It's one of my favorite texts. I hope you've enjoyed it!

  • @ 6:00 Yup, it is just like that...that magical moment when it all comes together...

  • LAIM!!

  • @nielspipo pfft.... go fuck yourself

  • Fix yo eyes on Bobby Jones mu fuckin face whenever you come up against something that seems like an obstacle in your life

  • if you are not playing good at golf just think of this film i play so much better and that is right your got to feel the shot dont think about it

  • heartbreaking, earthshaking, groundbreaking - as colorful as desert ever won´t be - nicy nice greenssssssssssss - knock it out big willie style only, what else.

  • 6:36 maaaaaaaaaaaaatt daaaaaaaaaaammmmoooooonnnnn

  • Fuck. If you have ever tried to hit a golf ball, you know what this scene means.

  • What language is popping up on the screen?

  • @edoremus19

I think it is Hebrew, not sure though.

  • I just dont understand how a black man giving advice is racist . I mean there are white ppl who give other ppl magical advice, does that mean theyre the magical caucasian ? Lolol .

  • Why do some people think of the idea of the magical negro as racist ? I mean I Know it makes it out for the black man to have no life of his own and his only purpose is to guide and to help white ppl but doesnt it also mean that theyre much more wise and learned than white ppl and to be able to look to the black man as someone for guidance would be like a son looking to his father for advice ? Im not a racist its just somethings I guess I dont fully understand the concept of it . Please help ?

  • Where are we in this country when someone is considered "magical and great" that we call it "racist"?

Even more amazing are people that call ultra-liberals Robert Redford, Matt Damon and oh my God Will Smith, being part of a racist movie?!?!?! Maybe, just maybe, we shouldnt listen to race-baiters like Spike Lee for the final judgement on what is "racist". Heck, it wont be long before everyone who sleeps at night and is awake during the day is considered racist.

  • @StinkyCheeser I dunno . maybe because of the whole magical negro thing . It's funny how the one who pointed out this trope - spike lee - is also condamning it . After all the magicial negro is the one who makes the success happen . I guess it can be labeled as racist in a way , as success don't have anythind to do with color . But it's still a tremendously positive role and everyone love them . I mean look at morgan freedam who made a career out of it while his personal ethics is dubious.

  • i have a question, in the scene where he tees off on this hole with the 1 iron, how does he get it up beside the green to chip it in for birdy if the hole is 445 yards long into a gale force breeze?

  • the two people that disliked this video must have been jones and hagen?

  • Funny how everyone but Bagger look so concentrated/anxious/dumbstruck at that last shot. Bagger is completely calm. He knew that ball was in way before it landed.

  • you understand that is not a golf film, golf is just the vehicle that delivers the narrative

  • I never heard of this movie untill I saw it on Will Smith's wikipedia...

  • I found a great golf movie website called: best golf movies.com

  • I'd never even heard of this movie, but it looks like a great film. Will Smith can make even the dreariest sounding movies into something you wish you never missed.

    Sign of a great actor...

  • i LIKE THE FACT THAT WILL SMITH COULD ACT EVEN BACK THEN THO PPL DENY IT

  • @chrisXBOX360 ive never heard anyone say will smith can or could not act.

  • @chrisXBOX360 ive never heard anyone say will smith cannot or could not act.

  • @Jatora: switch to decaf. Why the fuck do you care if someone gets emotional about a film? So this movie turns his crank...big deal. Doesn't bother me. Why should it bother you? You must be one unhappy motherfucker.

Now that I'm off my soapbox, it was a good film. But not my favorite golf movie.

  • We often not see the "Field", rather the straight line to where we tend to go.

Glad this movie section makes it so damn clear, that there is more! And it applies not only to golf players, also to all of us in life situations :-)

  • This movie is about real life: perfect, all-knowing Black Dude teaches stupid, arrogant, impetuous White Dude the truth about life and golf.

  • Watching it for the third time. Especially after the Open Day at the Semperoper in Dresden watching the ballet training it makes me thinking of how difficult it is to convene a team, either on stage, on the shopfloor or the field. It is the small moves that make the difference when the field is choosing us.

During my vivid playing time of Ultimate Frisbee there was one particular tournament when this perfect setting happened - team of unknown found together winning the the overall tournament:-)

  • i was told this movie refers to the bhagavad gita

  • @mickeynel it does, it's loosely BASED on it.

  • perfect movie for a hangover day... makes you re-think everything

  • what is the music that starts at 6:02?

  • The music, the message, the sounds. Hits you really deep when you listen

  • now thats harmony:D

  • JPEMMERSON, you do not have to defend your views, it is your view and you are dead on. that is good enough. Jatora would attack somebody else if not you.. Jatora may you find the peace ...

JP somebody told me to rent this movie last year because of my love of the Gita... I will have to watch it for sure

  • the only reason i know about this movie is because of unforgivable

  • I just love the movie, and have seen it several times. I like to feel good at the end of a show.

  • the movie started of slow i was guna turn it off then will smith appeared and i stayed on and both will and matt acting performances were amazing

  • To anyone that doesn't play, this is total BS. To everyone that's ever hit a shot that came out how they wanted, this is pure gold. Great insight into hitting that little white thing.

  • i totally agree with your comment, to anyone that doesn,t play it will be total BS... but hitting that ball and have it go were you want is amazing.

  • I love this scene....good to watch before tournaments

  • i have seen a shitload of movies, but this is my absolute fucking badass unbelievable favorite.

  • I love the magic negro

  • thank you for posting this! this scene is my favorite! love this movie.

  • I don't know crap about golf and it looks like a boring sport to me, but this movie makes it look better then football. Damn this movie was good. Still football is tha number 1 sport!!! Don't ever forget that!

  • That looks like Matt actually hitting that t-shot. That's great form!

  • Why does it seem like the Bagger Vance Role was made for Morgan Freeman? If it was Freeman instead of Will, this movie might be higher rated.

  • @arodaman will smith did an awesome job though

  • Smiths best performance

  • brillianto!

  • what golf course is that?

  • 5:05 does anyone know the name of the first track?

  • what language is on the screen?

  • It's Hebrew...

  • listen nomorephones the story is told from the boy's perspective about the what happened, indeed its the story about junah but from what the boy experienced

  • Am i right in saying bagger was a ghost.

  • Bagger was god.

  • @civicdude101 Bagger was Krishna, the avatar of Vishnu.

  • @brianbergin Bagger was just a person who appeared to guide Junnuh on his path. He wasn't a ghost, he was a person - in the movie, that is.

  • This movie is not my favorite but still very respectable - well directed, acted, produced and edited. Mat Damon showed really impressive acting. Will Smith and Charlize Theron were great as well.

  • the only thing i couldn't get in this film is why they had called him The Legend of Bagger Vance, it's clearly jonnahs story...

  • Well, was he an angel or was he a human. He may not even exist at all. That's why it's called a legend. If it was the legend of randolph jonnah, that wouldn't make sense. He was alive and there is proof of that. But not Vance.

  • don't get me wrong , i loved the character of bagger vance, and yeah you are right jonnah isn't necessarily a legend, But my point is that this movie isn't about bagger , if it would have been called "the randolph jonnah syndrome" ( i am sure i can come up with something better) it would have been more appropriate.

  • or maybe "Jonnah's comeback" or something.

  • much better now , thanks.

  • @nomorephones The movie was about the Hindu Bhagavadgita, which talks about the destiny of people. Rannulph Junnuh is a play on the name Arjuna, which is the main character in the Gita. Bagger Vance is Krishna, the commonfolk avatar of Vishnu. Bobby Jones was in the path of knowledge, jnana marga, since he was golfing and getting college degrees. Walter Hagen wants kama and artha, pleasure and material success. Junnuh is stuck in the middle, and doesn't find out which path he's in until the end.

  • whatever makes you tick. i am ok with that interpretation. i am kinda sure you can find it in westrens mythology as well , but i am sure you know what you are talking about.

  • @nomorephones Yes, you can interpret it different ways, but the director himself said he wanted to bring Eastern culture into Western mythology, and the only way to not make it so boring is to make it into a movie like this.

  • cool, thanks for the information, i'd look up that mythology.

  • @sarahiscool1 Bobby Jones and Walter Hagen were real. Rannulph Junnuh was a play on Arjuna(or R. Junnuh), the main character in the Bhagavadgita who needs to be guided by Krishna, who is represented by Will Smith.

  • I know junnuh wasn't real but I didn't know the other half. Thanks for telling me. :D

  • @sarahiscool1 No prob. I just started to learn this stuff.

  • A great way to regain your focus. This is a great tool to focus on the goal you have on mind.

  • Who knows this music ??

  • Rachel Portman , Junuh Sees The Field

  • The Blonde golfer is from Minnesota, way to represent

  • You lazy poster. Why don't you post the composer and the actors and the movie credits. You shouldn't post things if you can't give the necessary credits required.

  • Awesome Movie, But were can I watch the Full Version of it??

  • does anybody know the name of the song that starts at about 4:25?

  • seek it wid ya hands dont think about feel it, your hands am wiser thn your head ever gonna be, i carnt take you there junoh, hopes i can make you find a way . . . ITS JUST YOU THT BALL, THT FLAG this film is biggg mannnn shame a lot of ppl havent herd of it . . .

  • Will Smith....THE BEST !

  • should have made a hole in one

  • Ha, this isn't Happy Gilmore.

  • Powerful scene!

  • great movie

  • Smith and Damon are both really good 'eye actors'. They don't need to talk, we just gotta look at their eyes to see what they are feeling.

  • some good scenes by some great actors!

  • I love the quote, "Just bash the living shit outta it!" haha love the film!!!

  • Great movie. I don't understand why It wasn't that popular...

  • cause its a great movie...people wont action simple to no plot, mediocre acting

  • @StinkyCheeser because the ggers claimed it was somehow racist

  • @StinkyCheeser because this movie is based entirely on Hinduism scripture and a lot of people dont like that

  • Im seeing this movie right now, and its a hell of a movie at that, but the actor who plays golfer Bobby Jones should be Captain America. We are looking at Steve Rogers here

  • Another great movie with Will Smith.

  • The whole movie was about Bobby Jones, Matt damon played Bobby Jones in this movie, if you remove the main character it would be Bobby instead. They took etc that he said that the Ball moved and that he was a honest player.

  • the movie was about bagger vance... thats why its called the legend of bagger vance!!!!

  • Er.

Matt Damon played Randolph Junuh. Have you even seen the movie?

  • One of the best movie I've seen.

  • good movie but tech they are not in georgia they are on kiawah island wich is in SC near charleston a def must play

  • this is a great movie and based off a true story

  • Will Smith = a-w-e-s-o-m-e-n-e-s-s ... such a great actor... best one ever... he has made all the movies he has had a role in AWESOME.

  • Now that's authentic ;)

  • Matt Damon looks really cute when he hits that hole-in-one; "Did I do that?" :-)

  • Of course, Ms. Theron looks...... beyond description every time she's on screen. Best since Grace kelly. whew.

  • this movie is about far more than golf, its about life.. golf is the tool used to get the message over... the finding of inner peace and harmony in the most unlikely of places... at times when you need it most..

what a beautiful film, ive seen non better...

  • @jpemmerson Wow. You've seen no film better than this lump of cheesy bullshit? It's not about finding inner peace. It's about using a cheap, saccharine script as an excuse to get two A-list stars together while they're at peak marketability. And let Will Smith use a bullshit accent in a blatant "in it for the Oscar" role. What you call beautiful and see as inspirational is second-rate feel good philosophy. You need to watch some better movies.

  • @jpemmerson - Just because you erupt in tears whenever you watch this movie doesn't mean everyone else is a faggot like you. If you could handle emotions and had a little intelligence you could see it's just a movie with a stupid little message like all books and movies have. But you can't handle it. You are a fucking fool. You should kill yourself. You should FUCKING kikll yourself.

  • @jpemmerson - Feel factor? You only reinforce the faggot factor. I'm sorry my "commant" of the english language isn't up to par with your standards. Too bad you're to dumb to even get that insult :( You might not want to kill yourself, you'd end up being one of the idiots that just ends up crippling himself instead of dying. Good job nigger.

  • @jpemmerson - heres what the films really about - its about finding your way to god when lost - as will smith is playing christ or that of an angel. thats the real truth behind this movie, when you feel like you cant do anything or you dont matter anymore in life, you are always loved and you can do all things through jesus christ our lord. he is always here to guide us & love us, we are number 1 to him.he never leaves our side.

  • @THEDEJAVUEFFECT

I don't agree. You could say the same thing to every god. Why should it be christ?

  • @THEDEJAVUEFFECT yes it is..to be more descriptive..you should listen or do what christ asks of you, the minute you dont, you golf like bagger..walter hagen is role of satans golfer, bobby hagen is that of gods created angel.bagger is human who has the ability to outdo the angel when putting his trust into christ, his caddy..the greatest triumph, where even the angels rejoice, just like when bagger called a stoke on himself, confessed his sin, bobby smiles in admiration, of gods greatest creation

  • @THEDEJAVUEFFECT Hate to break it to you but the book this movie is based upon is actually based upon a hindu holy text.

"The plot is roughly based on the Hindu sacred text the Bhagavad Gita, where the Warrior/Hero Arjuna (R. Junuh) refuses to fight. The God Krishna appears as Bhagavan (Bagger Vance) to help him to follow his path as the warrior and hero that he was meant to be."

  • @AnimaTempli101 Finally someone who knows what the movie was truly based on. Rather than spouting off about their own "inspired" ideas -.-

  • @THEDEJAVUEFFECT Love this post, couldn't be more spot on. Great movie. Gives me goosebumps every time i watch this part.

  • @THEDEJAVUEFFECT Unfortunately this story is based in Krishna and not Jesus.

  • @ramprakashsrinivasan its all the same more or less....

  • @ramprakashsrinivasan Clearly had you gotten the point of this film, you wouldn't have made a comment such as this. You're probably un-salvagable, so go back to creating more war and let us enjoy peace and harmony for just a moment.

  • @PirateSygnal Mine is not a opinionated or a judgemental statement. It is a matter of factly statement. This movie is based on a book. Please research on it .

I have a lot of respect for Jesus ,but I am well informed. If this causes resentment then understand cant be helped.

  • @THEDEJAVUEFFECT You're right... This movie is so awesome it can be seen from many different angles, but it all turns around that idea. Life, love and faith. In what? whatever. Through what... through the prisma of the prettiest game of all, the game that symbolizes life itself. That's golf.

  • this movie is fucking awesome, its a damn shame that more havent seen it

  • great movie!

  • 0:01

  • Everyone should see this movie, It's about life, not Golf. I wish Everything bagger Vance said is recorded on a tape so we can listen every moment of the day.

  • great movie. the metaphor between golf and life is great and the musical score is wonderful

  • das is goog very good

  • brilliant, man

ROBERT REDFORD DA MAN, TOO, DUDE ...

  • go in the hole!!! YOU DA MAN!

  • I wish Beggar was my Caddy.

  • if u mean gay as in the best then ur absoluteky right.

  • this movie is so wonderful^^

  • just amazing does anyone know what the name of the music played and where u can get it from

  • atco10, it's called "Junuh Sees The Field" and it's off The Legend of Bagger Vance Soundtrack

  • best game and best movie ever!

  • To answer about your question, Will Smith's character is God.

  • Elrohir8484 that is correct. Will Smith himself says this in an interview

  • what was Will Smith's character in this? its almost like he's a ghost...he jst appeard and then leaves...is he an angel of some kind?

  • I don`t htink that he is something like an angel. For me he is the "good ghost" of this wonderful game. He loves it and- I think he never found his "authentic swing" but he can learn it other people. He loves golf- but he is not a golfer. (for me) :)

and yes- this is one of the best films from will smith.

  • JamesKoutz013...Will Smith's character could be deemed as many things....some believe he is God or any faith's leader.... others believe he is one's conscience.....it is all up to each person's determination......GREATEST MOVIE ever though.....great game that no one really wins....hmmmmm

  • oh cool. thanx for that!

You're right. This was a great film and yet it didn't do too well in the Box Office...in fact it lost 40 mil

  • He is Krishna or more precisely he is Bhagavan from the Bhagavad Gita, hence Bagger Vance, Ditto Matt Damon, Mr. Junnah is Arjuna

  • you have right this is part of the Bhagavad Gita

  • Good insight

  • I have to say this is one of Will Smiths top 3 movies.

  • Favorite scene of the movie

  • smeone upload the movie please?

  • turn that off

    RIGHT NOW

  • GET DAT BULL OFF THE TV!

  • this is one of the most beautiful movies ever made

  • he pulled it way left

  • WONDERFUL MOVIE!!! simple as that =D

  • even though its about golfing it is a truly amazing film

  • Turn that bull off the tv!

  • I have seen this movie...one of the best EVER!
