One of my favorites tunes and very well done. I have a Gold Tone PBS and I think it's a good reso for the money. The guitar itself is made in Korea but the cone, spyder bridge, and set up are done in the US by Paul Beard.
There are many good reasonably priced dobros on the market today...ALL imported though. The Wechter 6510 is a fine piece, as well as the GOLDTONE PBS models. ALL less than a 1000 list. It is not as critical to have a SOLID wood model as much as it is for the standard guitars IMO, In fact I prefer the laminated models for volume and VALUE. The USA made instruments across the board are just not good values these days. Again JMO.
Martin , I think Ive listened to all your music postings, wow ,this one could make you cry .. really I hope I can be half as good , or at least get a few meaningful notes from my scheerhoen 6510 once it gets here . I play other instruments ,but havnt felt this kind of exciment since my Dad took me to get my first bass 35 years ago!
