  • Get down and boggey little fellow.

  • @scottpgilmour Ooh, fancy seeing you here - small world! Will have to subscribe if you're going to be posting Karhu's tricks! (Hmm, actually - I might already be subscribed - better check, lol).

  • Very impressed with that Catch, and that's got to be the cutest Shy I've seen. Thinking I might try Noodle with wave - he's recently discovered he's got front paws (took some target training to do that!). I love that your vids are in realtime and that we can hear and see your cues.

  • Good job Jedi. Your a star. Thanks for sharing.

  • Man, is he cute! Very nice training. He's very nicely enthusiastic!

  • your dog is so trained!! i have a keeshond about the same age. her name is tasha and all she knows it high 5 and come. do you have any tips???

  • Find out what motivates Tasha (probably food being a keeshond!) and give her lots of praise!

Try clicker training - there's lots of information on the internet or in books about it. Be positive and consistent - that's all it takes!

  • Great work with such a young pup. Well done!

  • nice AMAZING job! you did a great jobb training your dog!

  • Thanks... Oh it was 2 litters of 6 - both being born around the same time.

I would love to see Karhu doing some tricks!! And I will definitely be putting up videos of our little girl when she arrives. The first will be when she is 6 weeks old (we're going to go visit her at the breeders).

  • Thanks... Yeah, I think I have to say that I just have a freaky smart dog!!

Does Karhu know how to paw/shake hands? If he does you can use that as a stepping stone. but move your hand out of the way before he gets to it, then treat. He'll soon get the idea! My hand signal is a little wave with my finger tips. If that doesn't work, there are some other ways too.

  • Oh I just can't get enough of him! He's so smart and you've obviously spent so much time with him - he loves you!

  • = ) I have two keeshounds. One is 6 the others about to turn 5

  • oh well, that's really cool. :-) I love all your vids. One of my favorite tricks he does is dance. Also shy... I like that.

  • Thank you :)

  • Wow, he's grown a lot! He's still as cute as ever! I have two keeshounds.

Are you training him for anything in specific?

  • No, nothing specific at the moment, it's just for fun. We'll probably do obedience trials and agility once he's old enough.
