Brambleclaw doesn't exactly seem like one for revenge too. He also probably just wanted to let the truth out and stop the lies before anymore could get out. Hollyleaf may also say that because she wants to sound like SHE'S the one that got revenge instead of Ashfur, making herself sound powerful, or she maybe thought she killed him....

To everyone who fail to understand the meaning on the song, basically it is singing about how it is like to fall in love with someone, and not have them see the right way. Saying 'I wish you could have my heart to see how much love there is' etc. it then goes on to the person giving up and hating themselves, and then going insane, giving up the idea of loving them and just wanting to make them pay for them hurting them. 'all I need now is the agony on your face.'
