  • Fuck sake, somebody speak English!!!

  • I do not appreciate the way he USES HIS ANIMALS to collect money, he's aware that people feel sorry for pets but if he was offered a flat from city council (if that's true) why he would't leave them at home ? Rabbits, they hate cold and wind, dunno what to think about it.

  • I saw him two weeks ago and 2day (18/02/2012) with different dog each time ! I do not question his love for pets but CAN HE REALLY TAKE CARE OF THEM? dog he had lately looked really UNHEALTHY ! I guess he would't have money to vaccinate his dogs. Some organisation should help him to keep the animals in good health cause he's simply not able to manage.

  • I talked to this man today. I asked if the story was true and he told me to look it up on youtube. I told him someone put the story on Tumblr and he had over 100,000 reblogs. He didn't know what I meant or what Tumblr was so I told him that basically over 100,000 people appreciate what he did. He looked so humbled

  • It was good that they arrested the guy who threw it in

  • @ninelivecat not good enough though, the guy who threw t in should have to spend the night in the river!

  • Seen him around town.Always liked the look of him

  • they should of sent for Leon !

  • @lrishRebeI FUCK OFF NICOLE!!LEON LEON LEON!

  • Fair play to this guy, that rabbit and dog is all that hes got, i wouldve done the same if it were my dog.

  • Give this man a fucking job working with animals!

  • @cynopt He was offered a job by an Animal Shelter after this, i dont know whether he took it though

  • Please throw young man who stole his rabbit in the brink also. Then forget the rescue...

  • at 6:15 someone said in italian "not even a coffee"

  • it's not just that he's homeless but like me he's also one of the people from the abusive children's homes that dog lily and barney the rabbit is all he has

  • At the very end when John tried to hop back out because he can't leave without his Dog :'( fuck sake i've been crying none stop all week since i met him

  • I love this man!

  • i hope u and ur rabbit live a happy, safe, and awesome life together and thumbs up 4 all the bunnies out there like mine XD

  • I guarantee you that 18 year old is some rich, over privileged punk. I don't even know what would make someone do something like that. Probably done just for shits and giggles.

  • look at the bright side of this, at least he is recognized for his bravery and probably receiving more help

  • omg the next time im in dublin i am going to give him all the money i have in my pockets!Because what he did was just amazing i mean i have a rabbit too and i would have hated that to happen to me x

  • gettin thick with the lads that rescued him??? crazy hobo jive turkey

  • dublins kinda stupid he got all that publicity for that wonderfull act and he got a piece of papaer rather than a job

  • @WhWaChIsSoCoLi he was offered a job

  • I saw this man today begging in town. The rabbit is looking better than ever, along with his really cute dog. I gave him my last 2 euro and we had a chat about the whole thing. I think it's disgraceful that a man who risked his life for another living thing is still living on the streets.

  • @epoppinbazz epoppinbazz, the man got a house from the council,he doesn't live on the streets anymore, the council gave him a house for saving the rabbit. and the ARAN (aniaml rights and network) gave him supply of food,so its up to him if he wish's to stay begging, but that 18 year old should be ashame

  • @AlphaOmegaADgames How do you know he got a house off the council? I am a journalist and I interviewed him last week. He said he is living in a tent on wasteground

  • @stmel65 CSPE teacher in college had the papers of the whole story.

  • guys, i looked this story up, & the 18 year old was arrested and charged w/ animal cruetly. thank god.

  • Comment removed

  • i was there when he dove and thought he was trying to commit suicide but when i found out he was trying to save his rabbit i wanted to hug him!

  • those who took the video are horrible people...live and let live and stop making fun of people whom you don't know the background (i'm referring to the italians we hear speaking during the recording).

Siete delle merde, e un coniglio si..per voi e un coniglio..per lui e un amico..

  • @Xpalman if they hadn't taken video, the world would not have known about this. I'm glad they did so we can share and look out for those in need more. the 18 yr old is a disgrace for humanity

  • You maybe homeless ,but what you did has a home in my heart,

god bless and take care of you all

  • Look at him stroking the bunny's ears to calm it down. :'( And the sad thing is, that 18-year-old bastard who threw it in the river will probably get a slap on the wrist, then go on to university and become some business executive and spend the rest of his life doing whatever the hell he feels like with absolutely no compassion or consideration for other people. Our society seems to reward that kind of soullessness.

  • Comment removed

  • @ArwenPendragon Well that is not going to happen since the 18 yaer old was a knacker/traveller.

  • I met this brave man today in Dublin , all I could get him was a tea and scone on my secondary school budget but what really pisses me off is that all this time after he was brought to the focus of attention, he is still begging on the streets in his sleeping bag against a bin. Where has the tv crews and photographers gone after they bagged their "on a lighter note" story of the day? Shame on the media for not utilizing the opportunity they had to highlight the terrors homeless people face.

  • 18 year old throws the rabbit in. Whatta fucking asshole chav, zitty faced prick. ANY harm to animals for me seriously irritates me. I'd like to see the chav shit try throw a polar bear into the lake.

  • i hope the guy who threw his rabbit in the oconnell bridge goes to jail for a long time

  • I hope part of that punk's punishment is to be thrown into the same river so he can experience what he did with his own hands.

  • A great man. I can't believe some callous scumbag threw a rabbit in the river.

  • 'a young man of 18 decides to commit a horrible act of animal cruelty by stealing the rabbit and tossing in into the river' - god damn, isnt it enough that he is homeless and his 2 best friends are animals and this 18 year old still does this shit, thats just sick man.. no one is telling you to give the homeless guy 100$ but at least respect him on a human level..that stuff just makes me mad, his life is already bad enough for him to make it worse, just ridiculous.

  • WHAT A FUCKING WASTE OF TIME VIDEO I WANT MY 7 MINUTES BACK

  • What a coward throwing a rabbit into the sea.

  • What happened at the end of the video? Why he became angry?? I'm french, someone could explain this to me :) ?

  • @Brunhyldraa some 18 year old cunt scumbag threw his dog and rabbit off the bridge, he wanted the rescue service to go back and get the dog.

If i ever see the fella that threw them over the bridge, i'll tie a rope attached to a block around his neck and fuck him into the liffey the cruel heartless bastard.

  • @foxdmulder His dog wasn't thrown into the river only the rabbit. The dog set up on the bridge while he stupidly went into the river

  • @Brunhyldraa He became angry because he was telling them his dogs where still up there, on the bridge and he wanted to be left in the stairs so he could go back to his dogs but they wanted to take him somewhere else, probably for a medical check up. He probably has some emotional problems and that's why he panicked and became aggressive, most homeless people have problems like volatile temper , depression or whatever but the man sure takes care of his pets.

  • @derpestarzt Ok, thank you for the answer, I see :)

  • It is so beautiful ! He is an hero !

  • Bravo !!!

  • @CristoMiHaSalvato * a hero

  • I guess 6 people don't have a heart =(

  • @202irish

I don't see any point in saying bad things about a man who did something like this. He deserves to have those animals, he loves and they love him too.

    You're an heartless person indeed...

  • @notdog1996 you dont see the point in saying a bad thing about a guy who verbally & nearly physically assaulted his rescuers...let alone keeps a rabbit & a dog on the streets of Dublin?? and im heartless. Come back to me when you've done something for the people of Dublin

  • i haven't really read any of the comments here, but i have a couple of things to say. all that man has is his pets, and by what happened, he would do anything for them. someone not only didnt give a crap about an innocent animal, but also didn't give a crap about what it meant to that man. i can't believe that anyone could do that to any living creature, my heart was breaking as i watched that man soothing his bunny while he was waiting. i hope that people learn something from this.

  • 6 people are jelaous homelesses, i guess

  • I always c him:o Esa Proper Ledgee:) Poor Man The Rabbit Is All E Has<3

  • He is a true hero!!!:-)

  • People are not the ultimate problem, it is circumstance...nd maybe alcohol advertising in this country!

  • @vectorization the reason i started txting on here is notting to do with his love for a rabbit. I was unhappy the way he treated his rescuers in the abusive & nearly physical way he did. That was the 1st point. the 2nd was i dont believe a rabbit should be living with a homeless guy on the street. No pet should as he cant guarantee for their welfare which is shown in this case. Look at how disgusted people are when they see people begging with kids? because they know its an act for sympathy

  • @202irish RECK the buzz why don't you.. people like you are so hard and mean. Trying to take the beauty out of things because your cold. Can you not just be happy for what happened? He was acting up with the rescue team because he is not educated and that was his instinct. He is use to having to stand up for himself in that manner ( you probably wouldn't understand as you have never lived on the streets). And animals make great company if your lonely, that is why he has them not for sympathy.

  • @yumfluff Well this guy certainly isn't lonely with his rabbit his dog and his 2 girlfriends

  • I agree with you that no animal especially rabbits and dogs as well should be living in the street with him ! I do not question his love for pets but I think he can't take care of them in a proper way

  • I am afraid to say this but 202irish does have some good arguments, I'm just saying. Like if you look at the video in a non sympathetic and pessimistic way...then you can kind of see where he is coming from. You can want the homeless guy to be that ray of light in a dark world or that guy that tricks you into believing that illusion?

  • @vectorization Shut up emo boy, the guy is homeless, probably has some mental issues but nonetheless he loves his pets and cares for them like they were his children, of course he is going to panick when they are taking him away to who knows where while his dogs are in the bridge in the middle of a crowd, he just reacted like someone who has a rough life and has probably some temper problems, sorry that he couldn't be a perfect Hollywood hero for you, now go eat a dick.

  • What really makes me sad is when some cruel human being would think to harm an innocent animal and furthermore hurt the homeless man by tossing his rabbit off a bridge! What the heck. He's homeless for crying out loud isn't he suffering enough, what the hell is wrong with people? God bless this kind gentle loving man, I hope he can get his life together, and then he wont have to worry about people being mean to him and his precious little furry friends. I hope the kid that did it pays.

  • There is something ironic about this whole thing, the media frenzy and public interest. suddenly because this man saves a rabbit he is offered jobs etc. There are lots of homeless that have done great deeds and will never be recognized. I wonder if it was a pet rat would people be calling him courageous. No, would be calling him a nutter. I am happy for him but some people need to check the reality.

  • @ballickmoyler wise up would ya

  • @ChrisRockSteady wise up? go fuck yourself. its my opinion.

  • @ballickmoyler yeah well your opinion is stupid, he was offered a job because someone obviously saw this and decided to help, more than you've ever done. would you jump into a freezing river to save anything never mind a rabbit and put your life at risk? doubtful. so don't sit there pretending you are happy for him when you are a bitter cunt with nothing better to do than put a good man down when hes in a bad situation and act pissed cus hes been offered a job and a bit of recognitition.

  • @ChrisRockSteady You sir, are an idiot. I never put anyone down. (pardon oxymoron). I was simply making a point that you missed completely. Believe me when I say, I took no offense from your reply, because it was too idiotic to do so. So no need to reply again.

  • Who's the stupid uneducated f*ck sayin' it was gas at the start?

  • @Mugsi one of the many junkies crawling around our once great little city. Dublin is now awash with junkies beggars and Romanian's. And they are there because people keep giving them money. This guy makes enough money to look after Himself, 2 dogs, a rabbit and his girlfriend. The Romanian's are loaded off what they make on the streets look what they send home each month. No wonder Ireland is screwed

  • @202irish I hope to God you are never homeless. Losing your home is not as easy as you make it sound. I hate to tell you, it's not the homeless who are ruinning your city, it's people like you who have taken to arguing with strangers online and blaming problems on others rather than getting out there and DOING something about it. You, sir, need to learn how to treat others with respect. I hope you have a safe, comfortable night in your bed tonight. May you learn to be grateful for all you have.

  • @OliveYou1114 Yes im ruining this city. Trust me im doing more for this city then you know Im dealing with people like this 3/4 nites a week in Dublin so please dont patronize me sir. Its well documented what beggars are making in this city The only person who can help this guy is himself. Instead of trotting around Dublin with animal farm with him why doesn't he take his "well earned earnings" and do something about it instead of wasting it on animal feed. Because people like him dont want help

  • @202irish I have a seriously hard time believing that considering you are blaming the city's problems on other groups. You have made ridiculous assumptions about entire groups of people. It is CLEAR that generalizing in this manner is an incredibly ignorant thing to do. These actions have made it very difficult to take you as a reputable source.

  • @OliveYou1114 you can believe what you want...i dont have to prove myself to you... i would ask you to go speak to his rescuers in person. Then you may understand. ive just put out my point and i hope you are as quick on here the day this guy puts a foot out of place...and he will.

  • @george1976ist BUT YET YOU RESPONDED TO ME SO WHO'S THE SPASTIC?? And very good no spelling mistakes in that one..Mammy Daddy and Teacher will be real proud. Don't be a silly little hardboy sitting behind a computer. I hope you never have to count on me or another member of the Emergency Services 1 day with that attitude!!!

  • Bravo kind sir!

  • Did anyone else hear the guy at the start go "That was GASSSSSSSSSS, that was".

  • @george1976ist GO BACK TO SCHOOL AND LEARN HOW TO SPELL KID. And if you cant engage in a discussion without lowering yourself to that kind of talk maybe mammy & daddy should put parental locks on your computer. And by the way they are used to putting with with this kind of crap from junkie lowlife scum everyday. Just because they are used to it doesn't mean they should have to. And another thing i can guarantee you one thing you wouldn't last 5mins in the job

  • It's deeply shocking and disgusting that someone would throw his rabbit into a river, action should be taken to find out who did it and they should be heavily fined and publicly shamed. That poor guy.

  • I didnt see him today, i hope he is in a better place than he was and getting a second chance in life. And to the scumbag piece of shit who threw the rabbit into the river i hope you get whats coming to you...

  • So what will happen to the hero, back on the streets begging next week? just goes to show that someone who society has totally forgot about has such a heart he values all life even that of a rabbit especially when no one gives a rats about his.

This guy should get more than a badge, he should be given one of them countless apartments that NAMA are sitting their fat asses on.

  • From RTÉ News today:

A homeless man is to be honoured today for rescuing his pet rabbit from the River Liffey in Dublin.

An 18-year-old man has been charged with a public order offence, as well as animal cruelty, in relation to the incident.

Mr Byrne will given an award for his actions by the Animal Rights Action Network this afternoon.

  • Thanks for the confirmation will be there its the least the poor guy deserves

  • Hi everyone, it's 11.45am tomorrow and NOT 12.45pm as reported by the Herald which they are now aware of the mistake in the print last week. Hope everyone can make it, call for more details 0872391646

  • @irishveganboy why is this fella getting an award?? Are the Firefighters who rescued him from the Liffey who the then Verbally & nearly physically assaulted by him getting an award??? SHAME ON ARAN. Ive noticed on their website the 1st picture you see is "cruelty to animals must stop" here is a homeless junkie who keeps a rabbit in a city environment...how cruel is that??? Also notting on their website about awarding this guy anything doesn't surprise me they should be ashamed of themselves

  • @202irish You don't know the interaction he had with those who rescued him. You cannot make out what is being said by the video. Furthermore, he's not being awarded for keeping the rabbit in a city environment; he's being awarded for jumping in after the rabbit was thrown in and reviving it. Most people would not jump into a dangerous river just to save the life of a rabbit. This action was a heroic one.

  • @OliveYou1114 I do know the interaction he had with those who rescued him as i have spoken to them. And let me say if he was to say what he said to a member of the Gardaí he'd have been arrested for threaten & abusive behaviour. As ive said numerous times they where acting for his safety. And your right "it is a dangerous river" and to act like he did in a small boat was just ridiculous and endangered himself and both members of the DFB

  • @202irish He didn't want to be separated from his dog, who was waiting for him near the bridge. His pets are all he has in this world! I don't blame him at all. Thankfully, things turned out great in the end. Didn't you read as to why he was arguing with them? He had already been through so much, the stress must have been getting to him. He had just had his rabbit stolen from him and thrown off a bridge. He was probably terrified for the safety of his dog as well.

  • @jdgmommy31103 His dog was fine & he was told this numerous times they where going to re-unite him with his dog the safe way but he kicked off. Ill ask you a question which ive asked a few times here but no-one has answered so hopefully you will. Do you think its right for a "homeless" guy to be keeping a rabbit in Dublin City ?? Rabbits belong in the wild NOT in a busy City environment. And if a teenager can take a rabbit off this guy and chuck it into the liffey he obviously cant look after it

  • @202irish You may have spoken to them, but you were not there. You are hearing one side, and it's going to be biased. Further, my point was, you cannot say he does not deserve an award as it has nothing to do with that interaction at ALL. The award is based upon his action of jumping into the river to save and revive the rabbit. It stuns me that people are acting like this man acted so deplorably, yet they aren't even mentioning the scum who threw the rabbit into the water and nearly killed it.

  • @OliveYou1114 I will always trust a colleague over someone like this guys. And never mind the scum who threw it in the rabbit should not be there in the 1st place! its a rabbit it belongs in a field. He has it there so people will feel sorry for him and his rabbit and give him more money. He doesn't care about the rabbit its all about the money. Look at the guy down a Guinness who stands there with the horse for tourists. Dresses like a down & out charges for a photo hes a multi millionaire!

  • @202irish yea he probably hates the rabbit, thats why he went to save it. i would doubt very much if he realised the publicity he would get from it. I just find it pathetic that somebody can turn say the rabbit should be in a field. Its the mans pet that im pretty sure he enjoys having around as he clearly hasnt got a lot else. Dont judge a person whose circumstances you know nothing about. Most likely this man is on the street through no fault of his own and deserves a second chance.

  • @fmcstravick i never said he hated the rabbit & never said the reason he went in after it was because he thought he'd publicity from it. Im sure 99.9% of people would agree rabbits dont belong living on the streets of Dublin...running the risk of being chucked off a bridge thats my point. Im judgeing him (like you are) because you also dont know his circumstances and notting about him. Im judgeing him by what i see everyday in Dublin

  • @202irish Why would he risk his life for a rabbit he didn't care about?

My Rabbits don't live on a field and I care about them very very much.

  • i swear to god the little bastard who threw that poor rabbit in should just be shot and gotten rid of.

  • Next Time I'm In Town I Promise To Give Him Some Money And Some Food For The Animals And I Will Bring A Chainsaw To Chop Up The Dope That Threw That Rabbit Into The River And Then Throw The Pieces In The Liffey While The Birds Try To Swoop Down And Catch Them (I Hate Cruel People)

  • best of luck to this lovely man,,,,and the person that done this to this animal should be thrown in the liffey with a weight around their neck

  • @gardenrose2009 i agree. scumbag.

  • Didnt he get a job with animals because of this

  • The poor man, to think that some scumbag could throw a pet into the river is beyond me, what a sick individual. Hope it all works out for the homeless man.

  • Well done to this poor guy he obviously cares very much about his pets. Dublin City is full of scumbags at the momnet , and I hope they throw the book at the evil clown who is responsible.

  • @djcondra I've seen this man in town a few times when I drive through it, Which is daily. This man loves his animals, Even from where I drive by, I see he has dog food and rabbit food wrapped up, If you have ever

seen him and his pets you will know how well he looks after him.

He deserves them pets and you can't say sh*t because you don't know.

  • @CookieeMonsterr22 I've also seen him around town. That fact doesn't make any difference to your argument nor mine. Nor does the fact that he "loves" these animals. Animal welfare is not measured by how much the owner "loves" the animal. He can love them all he wants but the man is not able to provide those animals with a safe and comfortable environment.

  • @djcondra Its very obvious this guys animals are well taken care of which is more than can be said for many animals in a so called safe enviornment

  • @markmcl08 My dog is "well taken care of". I wouldn't bring it to the city centre for a day, let alone permanently. Both the dog and the rabbit are at high risk of being injured or getting diseased, and all the noble compassion and romantic admiration won't change that fact. Want these animals to be safe and happy, Give them to someone who not only loves animals, but knows how to care for them, and has the means to do so.

  • @djcondra I have a feeling you've never been homeless. This man likely does not have family, friends, or anyone to turn to. What he does have, however, is animals. They are likely the hope he has in the world and the forces that drive him to stay alive. He risked his life to save a rabbit - I think he knows how to take care of them more than you're giving him credit for.

  • @OliveYou1114 You have a feeling I've never been homeless? What has that got to do with anything? Absolutely nothing. Don't patronise me. And whether or not the man has other things in his life apart from his pets is also beside the point if we are talking about the welfare of the animal itself. You're being Sanctimonious, rather than objective.

  • Poor bastard. Fair play to him. He might be living rough but that does not mean he has a heart of gold. Good on ya John. As for that dirty prick that fucked the poor old bunny into the Liffey. Maybe the next time he's crossing the river someone would like to give him a taste of his own medicine.

  • This man is a true hero, his animals are very lucky to have someone who loves them so much.. Great news that hes getting a job in a animal farm would suit him perfectly!

As for the guy who did it how could he live with himself to hurt any animal but then to hurt the only thing that man has for companionship he was only short of kicking his dogs while he was at it! its disgusting!

  • @valerieaspill1 Lucky to have an owner like him? You must be out of your mind. Rabbits like grass and hay, not pissy concrete and cigarette butts.

  • @djcondra @djcondra Animals can sense love and compassion. I certainly can't speak for this rabbit, but I can tell you that I'd feel more secure and safe f I were living on the streets so long as I had someone there who loved me than living by myself in a house. The driving forces to live extend well beyond what you seem to think, and that goes for animals as well as humans. This man risked his life for this rabbit. I assure you he did everything in his power to care for it, and I'm sure it knew

  • @OliveYou1114 Wow that is so touching. Back in reality though, you haven't really made any valid points in favour of allowing a homeless bum to keep domestic animals as pets on the scummy streets of Dublin city centre. You're living in Lala land mate.

  • @djcondra You don't have to see them as valid points. Much of the world is celebrating his heroism and can understand what I'm trying to say. At least I'm not in lala land alone ;) I'd rather be there than wherever you're living.

  • @OliveYou1114 So you would rather be wrong with the majority than right with the minority. Good luck with that.

  • @djcondra Personally, I don't think I'm wrong. You're absolutely welcome to think that I am though :) You can choose to judge me without knowing me personally and without knowing my thoughts or experiences. It's entirely you're prerogative. Have a wonderful day!

  • Eh. Take the rabbit and the dog off this bum, for their sakes.

  • @djcondra YOU ARE AN A*S. He has taken very good care of them.

  • @22sheilamahon I'm "AN A*S" because I have a different opinion to yours? Grow up. And how do you know he took good care of them? The streets of Dublin are not a safe environment for DOMESTIC pets. Some of the worst animal atrocities are committed by people who "love animals".

  • Proper Dub spirit

  • This Tuesday at 11.45am ARAN are giving this man an award for his compassion and bravery. Please join us and spread the word - o'connell bridge this tuesday at 11.45am sharp. email ARAN for more.

  • @irishveganboy Updated video description.

  • @irishveganboy

Can you confirm the time on Tue as the Evening Herald stated it would be 12.45.

  • Well done to this guy who saved his pet .... your a real hero!! Ireland should be so proud of you ... As for the PRATT!! who threw the rabbit over Your one sick PRICK!! What ever happened to walking on and mind your own business . Fucking fool probably a Druggie

  • @deuceswildlive No the REAL heros are the Firefighters who saved this junkie who went to punch one of them in the face on the 7.00 min mark. And you can be sure it was a druggie who threw the rabbit into the Liffey more then likely one of this fellas friends who he pissed off. Its the sad FACT about Dublin nowadays everywhere you go in town its full of junkie scumbags and begging Romanians

  • @202irish If you knew the story you would know that the reason the guy got upset around the 7 min mark was because the firefighters wanted the take the man down river away from the crowds but his little dog had been left alone on the bridge and he did not want to leave him there. Regardless of the guys circumstances those animals were important to him. If only a few more Irish people would respect their animals the same way mabey 5000 dogs would not have to be put down in pounds each year !!!

  • @beep27 Oh i do know the story i know the DFB Swift Water Rescue Team wanted to take this guy to Custom House Quay under 2mins away because its safer for them to disembark from the water there as the Quay Wall steps are bigger. It was for HIS safety they wanted to do this. They told him this and told him they'd bring him back to his dog and that his dog was fine. And for their action they were verbally and nearly physically assaulted. I know the story better then you pal!!

  • Why dont we fuck the guy Who fucked the rabbit into the ocean and leave him their... hope he gets fucked up the ass by 6 guys gets aids and die... ya You fucking heard

  • well done!!!!!!! this man should get a gold medal award for showing his compassion, love and courage to save his pet!only few little people will have did this! what a marvelous man!! ;)

  • Does nobody else think its cruel to have a rabbit living on the streets of Dublin with a homeless guy??? Rabbits dont belong in a busy City Environment they belong in the open countryside. And the point is proven because somebody has f**ked this one into the Liffey because its owner couldn't look after it properly. Where the hell are the RSPCA??

  • GO IRELAND!!!

  • i loo forward to seeing this guy on the late late soon!

  • so glad this story worked out ok for both rabbit and owner, cant believe the cruelty of some people walking our streets, hope they both get the help they need.......

  • How can an idiot dislike this!

  • People like this make me see that the world isn't just full of bad people :) some people have hearts

  • Who throws a rabbit into a river? Fucking sick cunts.

I hope they get thrown into it.

  • Wtf is actualy wrong with some people? Why would you take someones companion, a living breathing creature, and through him over the bridge? I'd love to find out who did it and feed him to my German Shepherd for breakfast! The poor man, fair play to him, I feel so bad for him :( I hope himself, his dog & bunny are okay now <3

  • @Ruppertddog You are so ignorant

  • Should have just bought another rabbit sure der all the same

  • Good news! This poor guy is homeless and he was offered a full-time job on an animal farm. His pets are obviously the only things he's got and I hope the job works out well for him.

  • @MultiHumptyDumpty Glad to hear that, great news! I saw him today today on O'Connell Bridge and gave him some money coz what he done was very courageous!

  • @MultiHumptyDumpty Hurrah! that's great!!!!

  • Deadly the fella is waving at the boat like I'm over here. Yeah I can fucking see you, your the only nutjob standing in the pissing river Liffey .

  • I Will also add that about 2months ago this scumbag "when out of his head" on Wellington Quay picked up an injured piegon and threw him against a pub window. As the piegon struggled on the ground he then walked over and stood on his head killing it outright. So hes no bloody animal lover

  • Makes me sick to see most of you think this scumbag junkie is a hero after he threatens to punch 2 members of the Dublin Fire Brigade in the head. Sadly attacks on firefighters are a near everyday occurrence in Dublin now. People think this guy is a hero because he jumped in after a rabbit. Well let me tell ya that rabbit was probably sold to get money for drugs which is why he went in after it not because its his pet. Anyone ever think how a homeless guy can look after a rabbit in a city? RSPCA

  • @202irish i see this guy sitting with his dog & his rabbit on stephens green, i can tell you now that this man 100% loves them, anyone that has seen him with them would know that. dont believe your pigeon story by the way! nice try tho!

  • @looloo1978 well i cant prove it but i saw it along with a bus full of people sitting on a 25A. Its him 100%. Anyone whos in town on a fairly regular basis knows this scumbag to see. Ill ask you...do you think its right for somebody to be keeping a rabbit on the streets of Dublin?? Rabbits belong in the wild and any person in their right mind will tell you that. And the point is proven after the rabbit was thrown into the Liffey off a bridge. Its a gimmick to get people to feel sorry & give €€€

  • @202irish How do you know for certain he is a drug addict?Just because he is a homeless person it does'nt necessarily follow that he deserves to be labelled a stereotypical drug addict. There are a multipile of possible reasons he may be homeless: mental illness, financial circumstances and yes a variety of addictions.

  • @202irish come here you your the scumbag you dont even know this chap and your judging him? obviously hes an animal lover he's had the rabbit and dog for ages! And he looks after his rabbit by spending the money he gets on the streets paying for his food. He didnt threaten to punch the firefighters he tried to get out of the boat to get his dog and thats why he turned around..it wouldnt surprise me if you were the little knacker who threw his rabbit in!

  • @DonomanOx i judging him like your judging me whats that make you. On 7.00 he clinches his fist and pulls his arm back. If they had of kept going he would have hit. Theres a reason they where taken him down to Custom House Quay and this idiot should have obeyed the orders the FF's where giving him. Its another incident of crap FF's have to deal with everyday in Dublin. Ive seen enough of this guy around town. O' Connell Bridge, Eden Quay, Aston Quay. Walk up O' Connell St. its full of junkies

  • at the whole thing there was 100 spanish 127 polish 17 irish and 6 pets :P

  • His animals are the only things he has in life, just shows you how sick some people are throwing a rabbit into the Liffey!
