Broken Mal and River

I started this going "why Mal & River" and before it was done I loved it ^.^

IMHO they need to do a River broken video....focused on her....that would be good.

What makes me disagree is that in the movie Serenity, Mal is so unlike his series persona. He is a BASTARD in Serenity....and earned my ire.

In Firefly....he is perfect. A Captain at odds with the things being presented to him.

In Serenity....he's just a bastard.

@Prometheus1st that's because between "objects in space" and the movie, things have gotten worse, to the point that when we catch up to them in the movie, mal is at a breaking point nearly ready to throw the tams off.

that's pretty much what joss says about the change in mal from the series to the movie. he's reached a level of desperation that has him almost snapping and losing it.

Well, In Serenity he had just lost Inara and Shepherd Book bailed out on him before that.

I think it's because in the movie things aren't going so well for him. some of the crew has left including his romantic interest Anora, and also he's running out of money and work is scarce.

I belive they are both broken...Mal has his skeletons from his past that won't rest and River has her lost youth trained to be the perfect weapon...They cross path and meant to find one other to be together....Love the video and I love the pairring...
