I have always admired the German turn British Citizen. He was blessed with so much talent. I so wish that I would have met him. Needless to say. His works highlights the power of the almighty God. He was truly bless with immense talent and he unselfishly shared it with the world. Telephila said it best, Handel's Messiah is always associated with his work. But there is so much more to the man than just the a few chorus's in the Dublin presentation of the Messiah

Solomon, Saul, Susanna,Jeptha, Sampson, Athalia, Judas Maccabeus, are just a few of the oratorios that are among the greatest compositions ever written.

There is a lot more to Handel's choral music than "The Messiah" though that is all most listeners know. Cases in point: this oratorio and also "Theodora" (highlights of Peter Sellars' production on YouTube.)
