This was really helpful to me, thanks alot! Nice to see you're from New Zealand also! :D I'm up at the University of Auckland doing a Operations Research paper!
Thank you for the time you took to create this video. It was a terrific help and I enjoyed the visual add ins and props! I am curious: how long did it take you to put the whole video together?
Hi - I'm at the University of Canterbury in Christchurch, New Zealand. It is so great to hear from people all over the world watching our videos. Thanks!
I watched it for 3 min and did not get any clue as to what "solver" does to this car calculution. I could use just excel. What is the point? I got bored. It should have been interesting. I am interested in "solver" and how it makes my life easier.
What a great video. I'm a college lecturer trying to get my head around Solver for teaching certain diet and nutrition related concepts to my students and this is a great help.
Thank you for your positive comments. I've found it is better to teach a certain way to do something, and then when people are confident with that, you can show them other ways to do it. Often college lecturers try to teach you all the possibilities at once! So thank you for confirming my theory.
Thank you so much! This great video helped me a lot, with my exam.

@jetpilot18 Thanks, but I'm taken. I'd really love it if you could buy my iPhone app though - it's called Rogo and is a puzzle game.
We want to get enough money to make apps to teach this stuff.

@Xlien I'm glad it was helpful. We are now working on an iPad app to teach statistics, so maybe you need to go buy one. ;)

Lol. You're right, sadly. I'm pretty sure grey wheel bases and engines aren't either, in the way we use them. Look on it as a metaphor.

Thanks for that. LP is one of the things we teach, so we've done a lot of thinking about the best way to explain it.
