i love this song. it gets stuck in my head sometimes, and no one but my brother knows what im talking about when i tell em. these guys should definitely be more well known, they are amazing!
Man, i listened to Bardou thanks to a friend who went in the north of France and bought their album. It's A M A Z I N G, especially if you like good music, like classical, folk and if you are a metalhead (like me). These guys totally rock, and it's really a pity that if you google 'em you don't find so much - almost nothing. They should be famous! They really deserve it!
This is mastery. Genius. I listen to it all the time and need to buy this CD. I should take all my instruments and throw them in the sea. The guitarist is by far the most amazing talent.
Truly amazing! It's so stupid people are preventing the Nyckelharpa to be raised to National Instrument-status in Sweden on the grounds that it may not fit into our "multicultural society", despite it's first appearance in Uppsala 500 years ago and strong standing in Sweden ever since. It's so dim-witted.
@YetiBerra I don't get it. First of all, I didn't think many people who were sore video game music defenders would happen across this random piece of beautiful music - and secondly I definitely didn't think it would spark 4 replies. Wow. I mean, if you can't hear the intrinsic similarities that I am alluding to with my J-O-K-E (note the "lol") then YOU are tone deaf (which you probably are not). And more over, I love Yasunori Mitsuda and I think these guys would (or should) be honored! Cheers!:)
Oh my god. I saw these guys in Brittany about 5 years ago, they were so good I bought their album, I thought they were just your average street singer, clearly not. Wow!
i would love to go back. i have nightly dreams of taking everyone i know to bardou- recurring dreams since 1996. hopefully i can take my husband soon! i learnt alot about self-sustainability in bardou, lessons that i use in my own life regularly. i would love to live in bardou. is william still there, too?
Thank you. Bardou has two CDs which can be purchased thru one of the two websites mentioned above. The name Bardou comes from a hamlet in the mountains of the Languedoc region. Have you been there? All the best, James Kline
I've only discovered you guys this morning and am so incredibly impressed. I play at the guitar and am now inspired to improve my skills. Realistically, I will never achieve the level of you two or even come close but my heart is warmed by the sounds you produce. Thank you for sharing.

Beautiful. Imagine how much more awesome this would sound with a woodwind instrument in like a flue or piccolo? ;D Sounds so enchanting and medieval!

The one that looks like a cross between a fiddle and a piano is the nyckelharpa and the Guitar-like insturment is the arch-harp guitar.
