  • This is Adventuring music.

  • nice combination

  • i love this song. it gets stuck in my head sometimes, and no one but my brother knows what im talking about when i tell em. these guys should definitely be more well known, they are amazing!

  • sounds of our natural universe - great fun,you guys!

  • Very cool, indeed!!!! I'm impressed.

  • Simplemente maravilloso!

  • Man, i listened to Bardou thanks to a friend who went in the north of France and bought their album. It's A M A Z I N G, especially if you like good music, like classical, folk and if you are a metalhead (like me). These guys totally rock, and it's really a pity that if you google 'em you don't find so much - almost nothing. They should be famous! They really deserve it!

  • beautiful

  • ah..this is amazing. listening to it without watching, i feel like there's more than just two people playing

  • This is mastery. Genius. I listen to it all the time and need to buy this CD. I should take all my instruments and throw them in the sea. The guitarist is by far the most amazing talent.

  • Beautiful. Imagine how much more awesome this would sound with a woodwind instrument in like a flue or piccolo? ;D Sounds so enchanting and medieval!

  • The one that looks like a cross between a fiddle and a piano is the nyckelharpa and the Guitar-like insturment is the arch-harp guitar.

  • what do you call those instruments?

  • this is amazing!!

  • Trully enchanting. The whimsical instrument enhancements never cease to amaze me :)

  • Truly amazing! It's so stupid people are preventing the Nyckelharpa to be raised to National Instrument-status in Sweden on the grounds that it may not fit into our "multicultural society", despite it's first appearance in Uppsala 500 years ago and strong standing in Sweden ever since. It's so dim-witted.

  • Wow, very cool! Two amazing instruments playing a wonderful song. Thanks for that!

  • Awesome :D

  • No need to get hung up in a silly joke...this music is no joke. Absolutely fantastic! I seriously need to expand my musical horizons. Excellent!

  • marvellous

  • the melody is beautiful and you are great performers!

  • That is absolutely beautiful.

  • I would sooo incredibly love to have one and learn how to play it! I need to have one! I want a nyckelharpa!!

  • Absolutely fantastic!

  • this should be in a Zelda game hahaha this is pretty fing cool

  • Is this the theme to Chrono Cross? lol

  • @cosmogang

What? O_O You must be tone deaf, good sir...

  • @bluesplus1 It was a joke.... :)

  • @cosmogang A very bad joke, indeed ;)

  • @YetiBerra I don't get it. First of all, I didn't think many people who were sore video game music defenders would happen across this random piece of beautiful music - and secondly I definitely didn't think it would spark 4 replies. Wow. I mean, if you can't hear the intrinsic similarities that I am alluding to with my J-O-K-E (note the "lol") then YOU are tone deaf (which you probably are not). And more over, I love Yasunori Mitsuda and I think these guys would (or should) be honored! Cheers!:)

  • @cosmogang Isnt it a flute in that song, and the melody does not sound like this, at all...? :P

  • @YetiBerra It was a joke...? Ya know....?

  • This could quite possibly be the single most beautiful song i'v ever heard. And i'v heard alot!

  • @Oscarannell Thanks, you made my day! I wrote this peice while living among the Tarahumara Indians in Mexico. All the best, James

  • this is so beautiful

  • impressive!!!

  • amazing melodies......you can travel with your mind wherever you want listening to this song.....what can i say...great song...love it..

  • Oh my god. I saw these guys in Brittany about 5 years ago, they were so good I bought their album, I thought they were just your average street singer, clearly not. Wow!

  • i would love to go back. i have nightly dreams of taking everyone i know to bardou- recurring dreams since 1996. hopefully i can take my husband soon! i learnt alot about self-sustainability in bardou, lessons that i use in my own life regularly. i would love to live in bardou. is william still there, too?

  • William's still there!

  • i'm in awe-- weird thing is, bardou & aix are my 2 most favourite places in the world!

i love the music, thank you for posting it!

i would love a cd, how can i obtain one??

  • Thank you. Bardou has two CDs which can be purchased thru one of the two websites mentioned above. The name Bardou comes from a hamlet in the mountains of the Languedoc region. Have you been there? All the best, James Kline

  • yes, i have, like i said, bardou & aix are my 2 most favourite places in the world. i spent 3 months in bardou in 1996. are klaus & jean still there?

  • Yes they are, and the place is more magical than ever. I try to get back there every year if possible. James

  • This is excellent, thank you for posting it

  • I want to make soo bad a nickelharp

if someone got information of that plz tellme

    nice song :p

  • Amazing! You guys should do Neil Gow's Lament!

  • I've only discovered you guys this morning and am so incredibly impressed. I play at the guitar and am now inspired to improve my skills. Realistically, I will never achieve the level of you two or even come close but my heart is warmed by the sounds you produce. Thank you for sharing.

  • @moggy1000 three years have passed..have you improved your guitar skills by much?

  • No encuentro palabras para rendir homenaje a tanto ingenio. Gracias por compartir este video.

I do not find words to produce honoring to so much ingenuity. Thank you for sharing this video.

  • die hab ich in frankreich schon live gesehen^^

  • Thank you for the compliment. The Alchemist's Dance was composed by your's truly, James Kline. The nyckelharpa part was added by Mariusz Radwanski.

  • круууто))

  • Geweldig! Prachtig mooi :-D

  • WOW, I really like it its nice =)

  • For TimHGuitar: it should be a nickelharp

  • Really beautifull. You are both great musicians.

  • My word. Talk about fine players. Technique and skill. Incrediby Moving. Thank you Both.

  • Wow that was amazing.

  • This is very cool! My daughter just said, "What kind of weird violin it that?" Very musical, as always James!

    Tim

  • Another great Bardou piece. My only complaint is the mundane setting, not nearly as sweet as the music!
