Weaver is not necesary in any Ghostbusters story line since Peter liked lots of girls, the only girl necesary in the Ghostbusters series (or movies) is Jeaninne (or whatever you write it). I'm a real hardcore ghostbuster fan since I was a kid and I don't miss Weaver in the game... and yes, this game (including the Wii version) rocks!
it kind of makes sense for the character of Dana Barrett anyway, if a real person they became possessed by a Demigod and turned into a Dog, then 5 years later had their son kidnapped and almost possessed by the ghost of a violent carpathian, that person would probably move as far away from New York city as possible, like to the west coast. Alyssa Milano does great in this game

No. The reason why Sigourney Weaver isn't in the game is because she refused to be part of it. Terminal Reality then had to create another character and find another actress to play her. Apparently Sigourney changed her mind somewhere down the line but by then it was too late and they were too far into development. Personally I don't think it matters. I don't think that Weaver should even have been in Ghostbusters II and I think it's good that she's not in the game.
I thought for a second this was going to be a story about her taking over the role of Natasha Richardson in a Broadway play and thought "Christ, these people have gone too far." As it turns out, I am the one who has gone too far...
