  • hI. I like alot this tools, but i´m concern about it safety, because it seems like the blades/saw/file (the dangerous cutting tools) have a locking sistem that is weacker than the screwdrivers/awl (less dangerous tools) locking sistem. Does anybody knows why ? Would it be a design failure ?

  • at 16:03 pause the video and look at the top left of the tool there is a lanyard and can be seen from the saw nail nick area as well.

  • the wave and the charge tti have a lanyard loop built onto them. if you inspect the end of the handle closely there is on tucked away and very well hidden, you can push it out with a screwdriver.

  • i have the charge ti and it IS identical to the wave except the main clip blade is 154cm instead of 420hc and the titanium handles as well.

  • these both look like really nice tools. the only thing i don't like though is that there is a bit driver and a large flathead screwdriver. they could put some other useful tool in it instead of being redundant by having 2 screwdrivers, also if the blade came out the other end of the handle it would be useable even when the pliers are deployed.

  • @prometheus19799791 im thinking that larger flathead could serve other uses, like a small pry bar, sharpen the edge to function as a scraper?

  • @CondemnedPatriot right you are. i ordered the charge ti yesterday and decided i would put a chisel grind on that flathead. that is one thing i really love about my victorinox spirit x.

  • Hello! Can I switch main blade to another side for the lefthand ?

  • i fuking search multitool from 3 years and in my stupid country they dont reload of them :(( can someone tell me were can i find one??

  • @skate96production amazon. :)

  • Just letting you know mate The charge tti serrated blade is not s30v it is 440c I know it should be they are a good multi-tool tool good review

  • Great Review. I don't know for sure but is that the Black Universal MOLLE sheath you have in the background? If so, how is it with the Charge TTi? Are there slots for a bit kit and can it hold the Bit Extender?

    Thanks

  • did your hands get really black after using the black oxide one?

  • je bent nederland toch? omdat nederlanders alleen leatherman new wave zeggen.

  • Your hands are huge!

  • Things I hate in review vids:

-Leaving the knife still on the table while narrating

-Reading off the knife specs, or talking about anything that reading about it explains clearly

    -Cutting paper

-Out of focus shots, slow to focus shots, etc.

Every knife review has at least one of them, often all of them. Yours had none! Throw on top great explanations, hd, nice prod. value, etc., and you are by far the best knife reviewer on here.

...and now I have a Charge TTI on the way.

  • Very nice review, but I'm pretty sure the serrated knife blade is 420 HC steel.

  • @Nu3a yes, you're absolutely right. I notice know that I'm talking about both blades, but it is only the regular knife blade that is made from s30v steel. thanks for pointing it out.

  • @zyhano awsome review! :)

  • Great review, you know these multi-tools intimately, and it shod by how well you pack so much data into such a short time frame. The one thing I would like to know in comparison of the two - is one better than the other?

  • @DrSpeculum the tti has better materials and scales. thats' it. So it is better. But I'm not sure the price justifies it.

  • @zyhano: The structure of the TTI chassis is weaker than the WAVE one, the Ti plates are just fixed with 2 bolts when on the WAVE they are part of the rest of the structure. you can see how the Ti plates flex just pushing with your fingers.

  • @DrSpeculum Thanks man, for every day use, I'm not sure which one is better. Will one do better in the long run? I don't really care with the 25 year warranty. The ergonomics on the tti are a bit better, scales are more rounded, so that is definitely a big difference. The steel difference is not really a very big issue for me. Hope that helps

  • great reviews of these multitools! thank you for your time.

  • Great review so far. I'll check out the other two as well.

  • Great video as always! I am looking forward to the next two!

  • @GREY1551 thanks grey

  • @zyhano Are there any differences between the old wave and the new wave? Amazon has both of them, though the old wave is $20 less than the new one, and includes a bit set.

  • I have boath the tti and a wave but I find the Victorinox spirit the best..

  • @fredde90210 can't speak (yet) about the spirit. You like the leathermans?

  • @zyhano yes I like them but for me the Spirit is number one...

  • First!

  • @Fjozi78 maybe the first to watch, but not to comment ;) thanks for watching in any case!

  • i'll stick with my wave

  • @keesurt as I said, they're almost the same :) If you have one, I'd stick with it too lol
