I agree. Little details like that go beyond acting. It makes me feels as though I'm spying on a real couple. Kudos to Van and Jake for feeling comfortable enough to express such tenderness.
Van has said that they often rehearse just once or twice before taping so they have no idea what their castmates might improvise. These tender details are unscripted and done on the spot.

Van trained in Russia, the birthplace of modern acting, i.e. the Stanislavski method. He was taught to not only act a role, but to live it, both mentally and physically. In that scene, Van was actually an 18 y/o madly in love with Noah.

On 6/18, Noah did say, "We're not together anymore," but the two didn't seem to break up completely. It's hard to say.
I don't want Nuke to suffer but it's nice to see that they're treated no differently than any other ATWT couple (except that they haven't had sex).

Will and Gwen left Oakdale because Sophie was still obsessed with the baby she gave them for adoption. Gwen then suggested that Noah move there with his fake "Green Card" wife, Ameera, to make the marriage seem real. The hoouse is owned by Luke's grandma Lucinda so that wasn't a problem. It is unknown whether Noah or Ameera pay rent. Neither seem to have an income.

I know nothing except what I read in that mysterious emil and the Perez Hilton page. I tend to discard unnamed sources, especially when it's mentioned by gossip mongers. BUT ... given the number of shirts in existence, it's still VERY unlikely that the two would separately own and choose the same shirt for PR shoots. Unless they shared the same shirt, and it has some meaning (good luck?).

Not in the US. The last same-sex soap romance was on All My Children. Bianca and Lena shared the first same-sex kiss on any US soap. After that, Passions had Chad and Vincent, but they weren't really romantic. They had sex but never kissed. Passions has gone from NBC to cable. There were other couples in the past but romance wasn't shown.
Nuke has broken many records which I'll discuss later.

The UK has Hollyoaks, which you can watch here on YouTube or the BBC cable channel. Being European, they're more daring and explicit. Spain also has a soap with gay romance, which you can also watch here. Like ATWT and All My Children, the gay characters on these two European soaps are also teens. Unlike US soaps though, Europeans allow the actors to actually be teens. Van and Jake are actually around 25, not 18/19 y/o.

Yeah, the actors pay so much attention to details that I often see new things when I review the videos. This is especially true of Van who was trained in Russia, the birthplace of modern acting (i.e. the Stanislavki method).
BTW, it took me awhile to figure out what "Loah" is! :)

Omigawd, I just went back to my source DVDs and I heard it too! I don't know if it's from a frustrated Luke (Van!) or some crew member though. It's well-known that Van acts by living the character, and I'm sure the character Luke is frustrated enough to say something like that. Could Van have gotten way too much into the scene???
