One of the cheesiest TV appearances I've ever seen and didn't miss the giant condoms on the set. Ironically, the man who wrote and produced this is a big homophobe.
ok guys, help me out here. What year? Was it a dance-to-song back in the day? Im trying to find a good song from today to overlay with it. So, what year was this? From New Orleans, JC
I've seen the opposite post on that song, people saying it sounds like this one, lol...This came out in 1982 or 1983 I believe, and On Fire was late '80s according to what I've seen, so I think the latter copied this one.
Her best song from her 1982 album. song made by Bobby Orlando (New York City) Bobby O if you like...I heard Bobby Orlando song "Passion by The Flirts" another of his creation...The hic between these two songs it sounds a little like the same at some parts...probably Bobby Orlando create those two songs in the same day. But "Deisre" is my classic.
When Orlando gets a hit, he uses the same notes over and over. Yea, I cowrote Desire with him, yet he never let it be known. Orlando took alot of people. Not the greatest guy around. Thanks Roni Griffith
Roni, Divine, Paul Haig, Tin-Tin, Chic, Shalamar and so many more take me back to the greatest times the Disco scene ever saw. You had Disco, Jazz Funk, Gay, New Romantic and every good club was open - and rammin' - at least 5 or 6 nights a week. God I feel old, but so happy my time was back then and I'm even happier I kept all of my vinyls !!
hi Roni , a pleasure to read you, I was a local radio DJ in the 80's and "The best part of breaking up" was the intro of my show every week, I worshipped everything Orlando did , i'm you number one fan in France :) still have the cd and still love it
Was Roni the wife/partner/girlfriend of Bobby O/Orlando? Also, was she one of King Creole's Coconuts? Any information anyone?

His music is legendary. A true New York legend. Bobby O is the 80s Quincy Jones of his days.
