I hope you're taking care of it. Pepples are not great for hermit crabs, sand is much better. And the hermit crab isn't large. It's normal size.

also, i doubt it was washed up on the beach, it was just living. I wish people would leave them alone - they are not meant 2 be pets. You need the proper temp. and humidity and moulting is difficult. aww

It is illegal to take Hermit Crab out of the wilf if you can't provide sufficent care. You have not one thing that crab needs to live besides the salt water.
