  • will this print on vinyl?

  • @greenjeens No

  • I've been using 2 1280's but both are getting old. How efficient is the gel ink? How cost effective is it compared to the 1280? Tell Meg I said hi.

  • @koxiesarmy We have found gel ink printers from Ricoh to be more efficient in their use of ink when compared to the 1280. Although your results may vary, we feel you will be satisfied with the upgrade. By the way, we are running a free $100 substrate special if you order a GX7000, you may want to take advantage of that.

  • I am so diappointed with this printer and the lack of why it's powering off. It power off as soon as you turn on. seems as more are having this same problem. If you're in your warranty period this is the only thing that saves you.

  • @001authentic Please call our tech support at 800.826.6332.x202, I'm sure we can help!

  • I upgraded to this printer, I wish I did so earlier it is fantastic.

  • Do you have a video showing how it looks on a t-shirt white and black? I'm thinking of buying one soon.

  • @littlejoe79 Not sure what you mean. Dye sublimation has no white ink, therefore it will not work on black shirts.

  • @condesystems But you can print on a special paper that can then be heat pressed on black shirts correct?

  • @DeannaRagin There is a transfer paper for black shirts, it may need cutting. Look at dyetrans com

  • @DeannaRagin No, this is dye sublimation. Special paper would be heat transfer, a different thing. This printer uses special dye sub ink.

  • @condesystems So can this computer print onto heat transfer paper?

  • @usmchutch This printer could print on heat transfer if loaded with regular OEM inks. With sublimation ink installed, you would use sublimation paper.

  • @condesystems Thank you! I actually just bought the Ricoh GX e3350N. Would my options be the same with regular OEM inks for heat transfer and sublimation ink for sublimation paper? Thank you!

  • @usmchutch Theoretically the e3350N uses the same inks as the e3300N, however, we have not tested that printer for sublimation. It would be interesting to know your results if you head that way. as for OEM inks and heat transfer, just use paper intended for inkjet and it should be fine.

  • @condesystems I contacted a representative at dyetrans who said I should be fine. Thanks for your help.

  • @condesystems But you can print on a special paper that can then be heat pressed on black shirts correct?...using a vinyl contour cutter right?

  • Excellent! Love that printer!

  • Excellent new printer!
