I got into Wall Street first via the Fed in the early '80s and became a reg rep and an estate planner. I started telling people to prepare. Seeing the crash of '87 coming, I quit to finish my MBA then went over to Europe. Now, I help people expatriate from the USA. It's very sad. We were warned about this and I heard the Depression stories from family, growing up.
well it was overinflated. It was un-realistically overinflated (the prices of stocks) and then people realised they wanted to sell for real money in hand, and lots of selling means it goes down in value, and there you go.
The bottom line is productive work is the only way to wealth. Trading pieces of paper and owning % of a title does not produce anything. If everyone did a days real work the result would be something of value. If we all sat around trading pieces of paper we would have nothing but pieces of paper.
@unreal22000 Oh a mirror image of today. People need to really watch these Video clips. I feel we are 3yrs or less of another great depression. Of course I don't believe Obama will be re-elected. People really feel the next president can save us or do better. The damage has been done, we could end up with the very same party that was in power today that was in place back then. As they say HISTORY repeats.
@MegaELECTRICEYE The poison cup the american (and to a large degree global) economic woes really belongs to Bush end the economic ineptness of his government. Obama simply hasn't done enough to address the issues by trying to please everyone and let the reps run the show from outside of office. Either way i think you're right that thinks will head to depresion; 12-18 months imho....3 years something far worse.
@philthy122 Well put I could not agree more, and considering what we are seeing now with wall street, and the total global economics. I really believe people with half a brain should see these videos. It is kinda of a mirror image what we are seeing today.
Only 27 views, lol... You know this actual starting back when the people who lived threw the great depression started to retire from congress & start dyeing. And by the 80's the baby boomers controlled congress. Look at it! We repeat because we never learn!!!! And we start to really repeat it when all the people who lived threw are pretty much dead and gone. All we had to do, is start a "huge" public works projects right when obama got in, but he waited & now its been a year.. wait for it.
Hey McD friends... Stop reading comments and pay Attention!!!!!!
