to me this song seems to be about unrequited love. he's crazy about this girl that doesn't love him back and even though they're not together or dating or anything, he still thinks of her as"his girl". when he's talking about seeing that guy that she's with at a party or wherever it was, he can't even really get mad because she's not his to claim. i think that's why he puts on this show of happiness that isn't real at all.
