I am having a problem with getting sound on my tv when getting my netflix movies on my tivo. I have sound on regular tivo when watching, but not when on my netflix movies. Any suggestions?
@5446jesse619 They don't sell that model anymore, the cheapest one on the market now costs $299 but you have to pay a monthly or lifetime subscription fee for the service.
@mastersick57 It doesn't work outside US. It's like Hulu or Pandora, they can't broadcast internationally because of copyright infringement. They will start their services on Canada soon though.
Thanks for the review! I was a little skeptical myself of the streaming capabilities of the Netflix, but for the most part it has been a non-issue. A few time I have experienced a break in the movie or show for buffering, but I have not seen any annoying banding or pixelating that you can get with Comcast On Demand. I am very happy with my Tivo HD and they let me keep the Comcast box so I still have On Demand! Thank you for the review, it really helped me make an informed decision. Big-up!
Dude, if you are going to buy a TiVo HD just to watch Netflix Instantly, you are way better off buying a computer to TV cable. Not only can you watch Netflix instantly, but if you are a bug gamer, you can polay your games on a 65 in moniter!
The quality of the video is indeed pretty bad. Having Tivo with Netflix is pretty much a wash because if you have Tivo you lose Comcast OnDemand. There are ways to make it work, but you're going to have to pay for the box if you want to keep it. I'm not even going to go into the selection that they offer. It's pretty much the same selection that they offered when they started this streaming last year. I just feel if I have an HDTV I want to watch HD content or what's the use of having the TV?
I've had both services for over 2 years now and I have to disagree with your statement. Netflix is insane how quickly they get your movies out to you and they always have what's in your queue in stock. That's pretty much it though. With Blockbuster I get twice the amount of movies and plus I get them on the days that their released. I return my movies on Tuesday's and always get the 3 latest releases. I finish watching them and I have the movies from my queue ready for the weekend.
Can you get netflix on your tivo and xbox?

If you have a 360 you should use Netflix on that, the video quality is so much better and the interface is a lot nicer.

I love having Netflix on my 360, Netflix kicks Blockbuster's ass!!!... And 360 kicks PS3's ass.
