How well does this kill hogs on out property we have a problem with thim and i dont want to shoot anything too loud

22 magnum is very capable to kill a considerable size hogs there is no doubts.

In your opinion how does the nikon bcd rectical match the wmr caliber? I know this scopes parralax is set at 100 yrds as opposed to the 22 lr rimfire model, I just bought a marlin xt22 wmr and am looking for a scope that will be useful in hunting rabbits up to coyotes in the fridged canadian winter months, any suggestions from some marlin owners would be great, shes dead on at 80 yrds with my iron sights set at the second notch but I am not a fan of the el-cheapo sights they installed.

Hi Al,

Looks like we share yet another common interest. No feral hogs in my end of PA yet but have heard they are in central PA. Would you list the info on the light, it looks like something I might want to buy.

The inverter is going into daily use soon; I just bought 12 six volt batteries to add to my system. STICKER SHOCK !!!

Another power question. I use a bunch of Radio Shack cheapo stepdown transformers for 3-6-9 volt stuff. Do you know of any more durable stepdowns?

@28bull Yeah, those batteries get expensive quick!! I don't use any stepdown transformers other than those that come with the equipment (like chargers, etc) so I'm afraid I can't help you there. I just did a video on the ND-3 light that I'll be posting this evening, look for it my friend. God bless you.

@Chardavelli You can kill almost anything with a .22 mag to the head. It is illegal to hunt deer with any rimfire ammunition, however, it is legal to hunt pigs with any ammo where I live. Obviously if you're going to use a .22 magnum you must take a head shot for it to be effective, anything else would not work and would not be sportsman-like.

@Jack70903 You can kill almost anything with a shot to the head, however, it is illegal to hunt deer with any rimfire ammunition regardless of caliber. Hogs can hunted with any caliber so a .22 magnum to the head works really well, any other shot placement would not work and would be unsportsmanlike.
