Every one must hear Pat's version of "Crying" on her multi-disk cd "Synchronastic Wanderings"....I guarantee, that song will make you weep. And, it was a B-side reject for her debut, In the Heat of the Night, in 1979. Thank god they released it on her greatest hits cd.

i have to be the amen corner to everyone that gives this song praise...it's so damned good...pat is tender, vulnerable, reflective...it's scrumptious in its melody...i have the tropico cd and it's one of my most treasured pieces of music...not only that...what's up with people not feeling sex as a weapon...it is such an ironic, knowing song...i can't believe that no one got the song...truth be told...sex is a weapon that always seems to work...especially on weak men...

This in my opinion is one of the best songs ever done .. beautifully written and Pat's voice is one of the strongest and most beautiful voices I have ever heard. Being a musician I have looked my lifetime to find a woman with a voice of her quality to work with... There just isn't another out there.
