  • LOVE IT

  • REVOLUTION NOW!

  • black boy white girl

  • Replay!

  • I'm happy I found this coincidentally!

  • Sorry.

  • I honest to God cannot take listening to another dumb-ass kid telling me he's "this many years old" and listens to this music! NO ONE CARES!!! It's almost like you feel as though you deserve something. You don't deserve jack shit! How about that? Just for the sake of this argument: I'm 25 y/o and I too have listened to 80's music since I was a boy, but I don't go bothering everybody with info they don't give a shit about. So keep it to yourself. (I just quit smoking so I'm kinda bitchy, btw)

  • song like this never gonna die!!!

  • EXPECTACULARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

  • How could anyone like this song!?! This is the most racist song ever made. This song should NEVER have been made.

  • @watzfadinner3 How the fuck is this racist? It's the OPPOSITE of racist! Read the lyrics, dumbass.

  • @BobCubTAC You need to look deeper into what the lyrics are saying. "Dream on white girl, dream on black boy." They are saying the white girl and the black boy can't be together just because of their race. That is incredibly racist to say. I seriously am in shock by this song.

  • @watzfadinner3 Well, that is how you are interpreting it. However, it is most likely just a sad commentary on society that doesn't (or, didn't) just let interracial couples be, in certain regions. I think the song is really talking about "the murder committed in the name of love," whichever one that was.

  • @watzfadinner3 Have a look at the record disc on the video, you will see that it is produced by NILE RODGERS.a BLACK american producer and artist. CHIC was his band, Dont trash this great song from a great group

  • @watzfadinner3 You are a moron. That is the exact opposite of the point of this song. Troll.

  • To TheBeautifulStream and Swetchild7.....that is awesome!! Wish you were my kids! INXS was my first concert ever!!! LOVED IT! They are my all time fav band!!

  • Oh,thank's for the lyrics.I always thought it was:

    "Dream on white boy

    Dream on black girl

And wake up to a brand new day

To find your genes are washed away"

  • only red "original sin"

    was expecting some dnb :D:D

  • Comment removed

  • i love this song!

  • Dream on.........

  • Love this song!!!!!!!! I can't believe I'm a freshman in high school and this is the stuff Iisten to. I'd like to show it to some classmates and see what they think! :)

  • @TheBeautifulStream Same shit goes for me! Gonna be a sophmore and I was raised listening to all of this 80's stuff, so why not keep listening? Haha, LONG LIVE THE 80'S!

  • @swetchild7 thing is, theres only so many songs in the 80s. Sometimes you want the feeling and old favourite brings, sometimes you want to hear something new in search of a new feeling. And, really, in the end... 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s.... doesnt matter, its MOSTLY all crap! Theres a few good songs like this, but, I think, if at 15 you think 80s music will last you forever... think again. :)

Oh, crap, im I talking. I told myself I wouldn't do that anymore. Consider yourself special! xD

  • @jimeh123 Not at all. When I do go in the search for something new I never find it because all music is today is synthesizers and autotune. Even the rock from nowadays has so many effects it doesn't even sound like it's being played on real instruments. The music from the 80's was nothing like this. Even though they used synthesizers there was not so many effects on the songs. And the lyrics from the 80's actually made sense, not about "swag" or how many girls you fuck. It actually had a meaning

  • @TheBeautifulStream dont do that. haha Im 25 and my friends think im nuts for listening to 80's music

  • @matthewlarotonda But... but it's SO GOOD!

  • @TheBeautifulStream do you wanna medal

  • love it

  • It's the Disco Version!

  • I can read '83 on the record...how come? This song wasn't of 1984? anyway michael's voice here it's a little strange, different...

  • @danNYx86 Maybe it's not Michael and it's the new vocalist J.D. Fortune.

  • @marthamitran that's whats up badder

  • @marthamitran Oh no, it should be easier to tell them apart! :P

  • @danNYx86 its pitched up, the turntable is running too fast.

  • Comment removed

  • Sounds good to me.

  • I have spent the last 30 years worshiping the doors and other bands i really had no idea i would love inxs this much i have heard all the famous stuff and loved it but now they are getting under my skin.

  • It's def. your record player, it is too fast the tempo. Michael was young then in 1983 but not that young. hehe,

  • Lo máximo

  • HES ON HELIUM I LOVE IT!!!

  • man ... i dont feel like goin to sleep !

  • @FalloutLegion333 Clueless... This song ISN'T racist, it's ABOUT racism, and it's definitely not supporting it. Where the fuck does sexism come in?

  • sounds soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo goooooooooooooooooooood

  • 'Dream on black boy (black boy), dream on white girl (white girl)... Racism lol not only racism but sexest omg what have they done lol

  • Produced by Nile Rodgers of Chic.

  • Your music makes me feel alive, Michael - R.I.P !!! xx xx xx

  • Good.

Michael Hutchence.....eras increible loquito.

  • ever since the first time ive heard this track way back when i have loved it, but why is it that with my open window ,over looking a busy street at 5pm on a week day with many people walking home , i feel the need to reduce the volume of this song, so nobody can hear me playing it? why is that?

  • Racism; the original sin.

  • @ForgottenSoul700 i think the original sin was leaving eden, wait , hold on, hear me out, yes sounds like i'm gonna dish some biblical lecture, but by leaving eden, i mean leaving the jungle, again , hold on there, don't mean any racist fuzzy wuzzy nonsense, what i really mean is if we hadnt come down from the trees, not evolved, then the world would be a much nicer, much cleaner, much greener place. the original sin should be aimed at whoever came up with the idea of walking around on two feet.

  • it's a one the better songs '80

  • i love this song musically, the lyrics not much

  • is there a version of this song with alot of saxaphone in it?

  • 3 pepole cried to death at the chorus.

  • This is a great song.

  • I often listen to this song while driving... :)

  • Abseloutely great song! would love to see something like this nowadays....

  • I remember being totally blown away by this song when I arrived in Sydney in Oct 83 from the UK, and that effect has stayed with me ever since. THE sound of Ozzie Rock!

  • I love this song. When I first heard it I loved it

  • anus?

  • love this band...... brilliant live they were.....

  • I hate looking for songs I like and not know the name of them D:

Oh well, I found this now.

  • @SwellShark Ive been down that road before so I have to google all the good 80s music lyrics I remember!!

  • If you guys are that concerned, use a program like Audacity to change the pitch.

  • hey kids of today..this is what a good band sounds like!

  • Older record players are notorious for playing records at variable speeds. The player here is probably just slightly off. A repair shop (if it's worth doing) can easily fix the issue.

I used to be a DJ on the radio and some of the records played totally different on the player there from the one I had at home. Even the needles can produce a different sound! All part of the magic of vinyl....

  • Always danced to this a long time ago...

    wow ^^

  • early INXS

  • wow, classic

  • good song

  • so beautifull chorus ....

  • excellent audio quality, although i never mind that 45 scratchiness! (old school, here!)

thank you for uploading this and sharing!

  • Mmmm? I recall hearing that same version back then ! Often radio versions were slightly different than from 45.

  • What exactly is this song all about?

  • @unhooked25 The original sin...... a metaphore i guess

  • OH MY GOD.! i LOVE THIS song..!!!!!!!!!!!11

  • Excellent song! Thanks!

  • i was 18 when this came uot, i never forgot it

  • The old lp players used to have a speed control so you could adjust the speed of your records and the diamond tip needles were worth a fortune ;)

  • This song is mind blowing, and in a great way.

  • ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this song/Album!!!

Bring back rocking songs like this please!!

  • Man, I've only just discovered INXS. They're amazing! Music just isn't this awesome anymore...

  • great song, great summer song from the 80's....but where is the ....ohriginal videoh'....-lol's

  • tHANK YOU.

  • mitici anni 80 !

  • love the chorus so cool

  • @TheKrab11

    YES ITS CRAZY

  • i freaking love this song!

  • Great song, this one and Disappear are my preferite.

  • their music will never get old to me

  • Im a heavy metal, with a favorite of Sabbath (Ozzy years) and I cannot understand why I would like this tune...suicide blond is another favorite by INXS..

  • tout une époque!!!

  • Why does it sound 1/2 step higher than the original?

  • @quentinexus hmm dont know...i got this straight off my 45... Could have been the speed of my record player...oh well...

  • @80sMuzic I don't think it comes from the speed, for it's the same speed as the original. Anyway, soory for bothering you with details, i'm quite obsessed with them when it's about music^^. Thank for posting!

  • @80sMuzic This is just my theory, sometimes the video or radio version back then, was a little slower or different. I remember watching videos on mtv & never hearing the same version on the radio.

Or could be that since it's a 45, & rotates at a diff rate, it sounds a little different from the LP?

  • @OriginalPinkbird hmm maybe. Could be the pitch control on my record player as well. It might have been turned up a notch when i recorded it and this was the result....oh well...still love the song :)

  • @80sMuzic In TV can be speed other in PAL (Europe) and in NTSC (America), other FPS, other speed, PAL version could be faster about 4% compared to NTSC version

  • @OriginalPinkbird youre right, this is a little faster. 45 and 33 1/3 should sound the same. could be a different release. (checking)

discogs shows the LP version being 5:16 while the single (45) is 3:45. so its been recorded a few times. perhaps the tempo of each version is different as well.

  • @OriginalPinkbird I agree, although it still sounds good :)

    AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE!!! :D

  • @RockabillyAnt OI OI OI

  • @OriginalPinkbird don't you guys have a turn table with a strobe on it?? you can adjust the speed right there, jees, i thought all turn tables came with one.

  • @80sMuzic

  • @80sMuzic

who cares? Thanks for the song!

  • @pjdvqq5 THANK YOU! :)

  • @80sMuzic Sounds silly but it could be the weight of the record on the player.

  • @80sMuzic is it possible that your running a 50 hz player on a 60hz supply? i sounds fast enough for the power supply to the turntable to be 10hz higher than it should be.... just my ten cents.

  • @quentinexus You're right. It sounds like maybe 1/2 an octave higher than normal.

  • @julianking93 you mean a step!

  • @quentinexus Yeah, I noticed it too... :s

  • @quentinexus Tempo is correct matey

  • @quentinexus act of god? hahahahahahaha
