it's not a "crazy" coincidence. diabetic people can't eat cupcakes, Turk is diabetic. it's not something that they couldn't have come up with on their own.
That's why we don't they stole it. Actually that is pretty much what makes it a coincidence, the fact that the same joke was made twice but in unrelated circumstances.
a requirement for the joke, which is the fact that Turk has diabetes, was established many years ago. diabetes is not unusual. it is common knowledge that diabetics must be careful with sugar consumption. a cupcake is an archetypical sugary food. the fact that no components of these 2 variations of the joke are uncommon elements coupled with the fact that the 2 variations are not identical, leads me to believe there is no meaningful coincidence.
The later video was posted on youtube about 8 months ago. And us here don't believe it to be anything foul. Just wanted to point out what, if is conincidence, is a pretty crazy one.
I think it's just a coincidence. It was said that Turk had diabetes a long time ago and "cupcakes" is a silly word and a sugary treat. Plus that line is classic Cox behavior.
actually they used the cupcakes thing a long time ago in season 4
