Waterbender90z The greatest Tribute for the WTC site is to see the Newly Twin Towers rise up again and pay its respects to the Original Twin Towers! Just like we are paying our respects to the 3000 people who'd died at that site! I'm not a New Yorker as well, I'm a New Jerseyian! And I have good sense that rebuilding the Twin towers would've made much of an improvement than what is being improved today at that site! WTC doesn't need 4 towers, all it needs is just 2!

Politicians using 9/11 as a renovation site. What a disgrace. This new building is a total joke and a slap to the American people. It's not even as tall as the original towers. The Freedom tower is being built now and will be done 2013. If you tear everything down and rebuild the twins, you wont be able to walk on GZ until 2018. The freedom tower is a wonderful building. You judge it like a cover of a book.

@Waterbender90z You are in the minority. Over 90% of New Yorkers want the Twin Towers rebuilt. This "freedom tower" will never take the place of the original towers. What better memorial for those who perrished with the towers rebuilt with the original footprints in front of new towers. It's the only real way for America to heal its wounds and remember what happened that day. The freedom tower is a giant middle finger to the American people. Why let the terrorists alter our skyline?

@bendix633 only 90% of those 3000 that voted! There's 9 Million people in NYC, and only 3000 voted on that poll. So in reality, that 90% is about 2%. Would you like to rebuild the twins and be reminded constantly that THOSE TOWERS KILLED 3000 PEOPLE? I personally think it would bring fear. And don't throw that crap saying the "Terrorist won". How about this one sir... If We don't build anything AT ALL, then they really win. This tower and memorial will be truly amazing! It's almost done :)

@Waterbender90z Mostly all the 9/11 family members want the twin towers rebuilt. To quote a 9/11 family member, he said "Just as I want my wife back, the American people want their towers back". The freedom tower does not even go with the buildings in New York City. I live in NYC and I talk to people about this and it wasn't a surprise that they want the towers back. How about you sir, do you live in NYC? Do you know what New Yorkers want?

The towers were suppose to be complete earlier yes.. but you can't blame it on the architects, it was the economy that effected them! Did you ever think about that? I guess not. @Waterbender90z SIr, It's clearly obvious that you have something against rebuilding the twin towers or the towers alone. i don't know what your deal is but lets face it, the fear tower was only chosen because of croynism from Pataki and Bloomberg. They chose an architech that was buddy buddies with them. They changed the design 4 TIMES because nobody likes it!!! These greedy politicans are not and will not listen to the American people. They are doing what THEY want. ......

@bendix633 And it's clearly obvious that you can't move on from the past. Rebuilding the twins would scare people, and be reminded of that day in horrible ways. Have you not looked at the memorial of the FT? It's a peaceful surrounding which I agree on. And guess what? ONLY 5 more months until it's completion and opening. Freedom Tower by that time will be 90 stories. The FT also has A LOT of safety inside it, the same as your new twin towers. Example, Wider stairs, reinforced steel, etc.

@Waterbender90z don't give me garbage that seeing the twin towers will "scare people". Many peolple that I have spoken with that used to work there would still go back there and work. New twin towers will also be alot the safer than the original ones. New towers that are a lot stronger with wider windows and maybe even 5 stories taller. The freedom tower won't be even as tall which is pretty pathetic. It would only be taller because of the spire. And by the way, it will be 82 floors not 90.

@bendix633 Actually, it would scare people if you think about it, which seems your brain can't do. This argument is pointless, simply because the Freedom Tower is being built. Freedom Tower will be the SAME height as the twins, with 105 Stories. The spire is just raising it an extra 408 ft. Get over it.

There are plans to rebuild the Twin Towers, stronger, taller and safer.

Search on YouTube for FreedomTower2012 and see hes video's. The building plans of Twin Towers II includes the old ruines walls of the Twin Towers, which show what happened on 9/11 and not some deep easy fountains that are easy to rebuild. Take care,

I have such mixed feelings on this. I know we need to rebuild down there as just more then anything to those savages, that you can't destroy us. But I just don't know if she shouldn't put the original design back. Although that would have provided alot of hurt emotionally for alot of people who endured that day of horror and loss of innocence.

:( the twin towers gone for ever now there being replaced with 1 big tower but i think making the freedom tower is a good idea but it needs to be heavelly guarded and its probally gonna be a memorial of the Twin Towers :)

It was an assignment and I was a big fan of the two remix pieces of "A Warm Place", had a bunch of footage, and put it all together. There is ZERO slant in this video and is supposed to be viewed as an optimistic piece.

The Freedom Tower signifies everything thats wrong with America, notably not getting anything done. The only thing worse than the Freedom Tower is the offical memorial, which is suppose to be the most important part of the site. There are better designs- better economically and visually.

Exactly. The Freedom Tower doesn't belong on Ground Zero, nor does that extremely costly and uninteresting memorial. What we need is a newly designed twin towers with a proper memorial (namely, the Twin Towers II plan).

Forget about buildings, they haven't even built a memorial yet because they are pushing for a design thats not only too expensive, and will be difficult to maintain, but most people hate it, because its ugly! An underground tomb with stupid waterfalls, it's not what the 9/11 families want! That's the most disrepectful thing of all goddamnit. Oh, and nice touch on the thumbs down.

The minute I watched the plane hit in this video, my heart stopped & I got cold chills! This is so graphic, and it hurts! Just imagining what everyone there had to go through, and what the families went through! It's sucks! It sucks to know someone would do this to our country! Ya know? It just makes me want to sit here and bawl my eyes out!
