  • Thanks again for another great video, Smalin. I asked you a while ago when you will market your technology, because you will make a killing off this, and you said it would be another year or so, so how soon 'til we can make videos of our own of Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries?

  • @AnonymousJonny The future has been delayed ...

  • This format is the best!

  • i want to know... Bach is famous for the counterpoint. usually all the instruments would play their own melody, but for this one the harpsichord and bass mostly repeat the same note. any specific reason for this?

  • @CengalLut There are times you want to take a break from pure counterpoint, and a lot of Bach's music is something other than 100% contrapuntal --- all the toccatas, recitatives, lots of the preludes, etc.

  • Perfecto

  • BEAUTIFUL, THANK YOU~~

  • And who's playing the violas da gamba?

  • @gothicgrowler I don't know. You'd have to ask the Advent Chamber Orchestra.

  • kinda reminds me of dominos

  • New Minecraft noteblock project.

  • @Froschsenki Hell yes. It must be done!

  • There is a heart at 4:07 = )

  • you made me subscribe !

  • I love this vitality and brightness. The best version for me :D Thanks for sharing.

  • ARGH

Far too bright for my tastes....then again the music is better when I close my eyes at any rate. :P

  • banishment to the coughers!

  • Violas Rule!!!!

  • Baroque :D

  • good study music with a cool representation.

    Orhcestra Conductor Hero anyone? =P

  • good study music

  • I like it, too. Maybe I would choose a little bit other colours for myself. But one thing I miss in all these visualisations: It would be great, if you also could make the volume dynamics visible. Not every tone is as loud or quiet than any other. I would even propose, that the ideal should be, that no one is exactly as loud/quiet as the one before it. Maybe one could show it by making the lines more thinner, when the tone is more piano, and thicker, when it's more forte.

  • I love this entire concerto, but especially the phrase @ 4:19-4:22. It comes out of nowhere and, to me, anticipates a playful symmetrical style that a later composer would become famous for.

  • I am just hallucinating, or is there a woman who coughs and clears her throat several times during this piece, most notably at 3:39? She joined in so many times, she ought to have been included in the score.

  • @MatchbookD70 see the FAQ

  • @MatchbookD70 I heard as best as i could and I did not find a woman coughing. You probably had another program open. Its happened to me lol.

  • @Bl00DN00B The recording does have coughing in it. I tried to filter it out, but I didn't get it all.

  • Much better!

  • For this particular piece, i like the other animation better becuz it allows u to see every note more clearly than the bar-graph.

  • holy shit this is so choice.

  • Better!

  • This version is the best.

  • Hooray, the best style!

  • yay!

  • thank you

    i think i like this version better=)

  • This style easily trumps the other two.

  • I liked the second one the best but if anything just please don't do the first animation style...

  • No motion sickness like version 2! Yay!

  • I prefer this one. The first one was good as well, but the second one was a little annoying.

  • This style is better as the other post, in my opinion. Cause it´s about the music, not the eyes, and this represents the music more (for me). Maybe because I´m a musician and this is closer to the look of scores;-)

  • @LONGWINDING

you know.. if you want to enjoy just the music then crank up your amplifier and shut close your eyes, some of us like the animations as well... :)

  • @LONGWINDING Totally agree with you! (:

  • If you're asking, I find the first animation format to be ideal.

  • As far as animations I prefer the first style you posted of this. Performance is great.

  • I think it's great how the two violas weave in and out between the bass part.

  • Yay, I love Bach.
