I find it hard to watch this scene since he passed away. Sadly, it was the second and last movie they did together. Even though they had moments of tension on set they had an amazing chemistry onscreen. He always spoke very highly of Jennifer in interviews over the years.

I sobbed watching this scene the first 20 times i saw this movie! EVERYONE man or woman who had a romance and had to say goodbye knows the feeling. but smt bothers me a bit though about this scene: its unrealistic that she at 17, madly in love for the first time, said goodbye so easily and is not pouring her guts out! id be flooding that hotel with tears! even worse, id have gone with him! (yeah yeah im a hopeless romantic) but still... i love it though! my fav movie of all times!!!

@alinecalves This was in 1963 and it's not the way baby is.... And if she did go with him then we never would have the final dance and "nobody put's baby in a corner". And the thing between Baby and Lisa, they both are sad, for the first time they know how the other one is feeling. It's perfect that he is driving away and then comes back for the final dance and do that one with Baby. Loved this film first time i saw it and still does

@Ql30 oh i totally agree! from a movie point of view this was perfect just how it was meant to be! im just comparing personalities i for example would be sobbing uncontrolably! this is also my ultimate favorite movie! i ve seen it over 100 times since the 80s and just last month about 12!! i ve got a massive framed poster of it on my living room|!
