I just started playing guitar and my hands are too small.... Its hard to go across all 4 frets and its really uncomfortable... any advice would be appreciated
@60millionaire Not necessarily. It's a good idea to learn as much as you can. Ultimately only you can decide what you will use. Everyone's process for writing is different. Some people know and use lots of theory. Some don't. \m/
Hey I've been playing guitar for like 2 years and I would rate myself on a scale of 1-10 at a 4...I taught myself how to play but since seeking help from your lessons and other lessons I see myself getting better and playing easier/cleaner...would you recommend I start over from scratch or just implement the exercises and techniques I've gathered?
This shit is awesome man I've never been so interested in theory...you explain it like its not too easy but nothing you can take lightly I will definitely recommend this to my friends
Thanks for the video man, this really helped. :) Just a quick question though, if there's no note between B and C, what happens if you bend the B note up half a step???
Thanks a lot my friend. Been playin guitar for years but I never looked into theory because I thought it's complicated and no fun. But this really was helpful and easy as hell! Sub!
@Soilwar Glad to hear. I was in the same boat for years and always found theory difficult. I think because of that once I made teaching into a full time day job I tried really hard to figure out ways to explain theory in the simplest way possible. Lots more to come soon. I've been unable to make vids for awhile. But I'm in the process of making new ones, and lots of them will be on theory. Enjoy the lessons. \m/
this blew my mind. i was already familiar with the 12 digit alphabet or whatever but thought learning where they were on the fretboard would be a nightmare. the second you started showing it on guitar it instantly clicked. thank you so much.
Ha ha ha ha haaaaa! Rocking out in front of a chalk board... cracking me up... now that's a guitar teacher... bet Joe Satriani didn't have a chalk board to teach Vai and Hammet 8O) xO() 8O() xO()
@dudemusicspace Someone recently commented on another one of my videos, (and I'll paraphrase a little for comedic effect) "You'll go nowhere kid without a backdrop behind ya!" But I say to you my friend! How many YouTube guitar teachers do you see with a 1900's style schoolmarmy black board?!!
@ShredGuitarAcademy Yeah... like I said it cracks me up... it's awesome... and environmentally friendly too! I love it... your playing's not bad either ;O)
@eminaru12 I love the fact that he dresses like a pirate no matter what the trends are. You gotta respect that. As a solo guitar player he is one of my all time favorites. But as a songwriter, not so much. I can't really get into pop-ish power metal.
Haha, that easy huh? ;) Thanks man, now I can actually begin to function with the other guitarist in our band :D

Great vids. Keep it up.. Your way of explaining is very detailed and not overly cluttered. Very visually oriented which works well for me. Thanks

Everyone who is new to this should note this is if your guitar is tuned to standard tuning (EADGBE).
